Missed a good opportunity to drop a spider. Bummer. Anyway, the cage got new brakes today...so tomorrow I'll start by cleaning the injectors ( if I can figure out how to get them outta the rail) and go from there. They ohm out correctly, I'm having a hard time thinking that the head temp sensor would shut off fuel to the front jug...but an engineer designed this thing so who knows.(nerds) I'd rather not arbitrarily start replacing sensors without checking the codes first. That's logical, right? |

CHip you should talk to Luke (rotorhead1985) he had similiar prob and the bike goes into "spark skip" mode when that sensor is bad only running on one cyl. I guess. HE could fill you in with better info. I'm just passing it on until he posts in. |

A spider web has more tensile strenth than steel for same weight. Most spiders have 3 spinneret glands for web production Spiders do not usually adhere to their own webs There are Spiral orb webs Tangle webs Funnel webs Tubular webs Sheet webs Dome or Tent Webs The size of the web is determined by the spiders own body dimensions Thinking you guys might want to know about Spiders |

hey hey hey...go easy on the engineering speak there. lots of reasons to know the temperature to make the decision to put fuel in or not... Have you tested the sensor yet? Have fun! |

I have seen them Engine Head Temp Sensors cause some weird running conditions before, but NOT rEally/totally what chip has. Not saying it is not it, and we can try checking as I have a couple good ones kicking around. This sensor is more or less the heart of sensors for your motor. While it is apart, change them plugs out, even when they show spark, is it a GOOD/STRONG spark? plus plugs are cheap. if that is not the problem you have a couple spares "Just In Case". Personally I would do the same with the wires. If you feel you have good air flow & plenty of spark, next would be to look at the injectors. Maybe switch them around or check them with EcmSpy. that is one of the multiple tests that can be done. They may be different and I would check for part #'s on them. they may have different spray patterns. I personally would take them out and clean in/around them. look for sand and all that good stuff. I have seen them get clogged. Causes the same issue you speak of. Could be the Cam Sensor also... hey I am just throwing it out there for you. Haha... If they check out fine, my next spot would be looking at your last "maintenance" work. Blow a gasket & loosing compression? test compression in each cyl. keep looking for chaffed wires while in there.. You do have oil in the motor ...RIGHT!? Alrighty... Yes yes and yes. I think the circuit controlling the on and off of my front injector inside the ECM is toast due to chaffing under the seat in the area of the rear shock reservoir. I did take the seat off right b4 this happened to get Nate a torx wrench outta the tool kit. That seat always goes on tough too. I switched wires from front to rear injector and only the front one is spraying fuel now. So that injector ( both of em actually) is good. Maybe I fix the chaffage first b4 condemning my ECM. |

I would give Jim (tatoojim) a call. I think he had one at one point. Not sure if he still does, but worth a try... Can't splice the wires to the ecm or is the ecm junk? *****Oh Crap, This would have been a great time to be like that "Other Guy" that once told me a story. I could have watched you fight with your bike and NOT helped. Rode my Honda all around you. Then told you how much I love ridding my Jap-crapper that runs ALL THE TIME due to it being Reliable!...Bwaahahahahahaaaaa.......it is all good though.. Remember that similar story? Glad to hear you almost have it fixed. Unfortunately I do not have an Ecm for the 9's... |

Finished putting most of the bike back together. I fired up the ol' mule...I mean Buell. No more ticking noise. Looks like the cam bushing and new lifters fixed my noise. I just need to finish putting the rest of it back together and then go for a good shake down run. Time to celebrate with a few wobbly pops! |
