If so, 1. Do you like it? 2. Where did you buy it? Dr. Greg's birthday is coming up soon, and Mrs. Greg has given him the go-ahead. --Doc |

Froggy has one, but it doesn't work well -- he still ran into someone ! On my "want" list. |

It works just fine, in fact my first day having it I did my first stoppie My issue had to do with trying to post a message on here the moment my pizza was finished cooking. Oh, and the lady stopping short was the straw that broke the camels back I love it, its so damn hot looking, and I got it from American Sport Bike. Nice shiny mirror finish looks damn sexy on Hero Blue

Doc- as long as you've got money burning a hole in your pocket, you might also consider an alternate product, the new factory "finned" rotor: http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=4&CategoryID=3&Produ ctID=10027 |

I have the Braking USA wave rotor from American Sportbike too. It's great! I have two sets of wheels (one with the stock rotor and one with the wave rotor), and I can tell a difference between it and the stock rotor. |

I have a Galfer brand front wave rotor. I bought it from cyclebrakes.com. This is my third purchase of these Galfer wave's. I love them. I wasn't onto the whole wave rotor thing early on, as it took them a few tries to get the metal matrix just right. Under extreme heat generation, then cooling the rotor would get very brittle and crack the next time you used them. But that is a non issue now. I am running it with a set of EBC HH pads. Great stopping power, but they like some heat. The first stop of the day, isn't a stop. More like a slow glide. But once some heat gets into the rotor/pads, it's perfect. Way better than Lyndall Gold + pads and stock rotor. I am also using the 17mm radial Nissan master from American Sport Bike. Plenty of power, great modulation. My only gripe is if I need a LOT of power, I can have it with a hard squeeze ( I only use one finger) but the modulation at that point is not what I am used to. I'm used to some great brakes on my race bikes.

Yeah, I really like the ZTL idea, but whenever I ride my '00 Aprilia Mille RSV, the dual Brembos feel just sooo good. Probably the 1125 setup would be better, but I think I'll just a wave rotor and new pads (Lyndalls warped my stock rotor a coupla years back) of some type. Thanks again. --Doc |

The ZTL2 setup is fantastic. I love it. I like it better than the dual disc setup on my Gixxer. |

Do any of these aftermarket rotors warp less than the stockers? My rotor's been warped for many, many miles, but I haven't been motivated to replace it because I know it'll just happen again in another 6000 miles. |

sanchez......you may want to read this. The symptoms you are experiencing are not always a warped rotor and can just be pad build up on the rotor which can be removed. Solved my issues. http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_warped_braked isk.shtml |

Michael1... Which EBC's are you running? The EBC FA345HH sintered or EBC EPFA345HH laser cut ceramic composite pads? Where did you get them from? |

I bought the EBC sintered pads from American Sportbike. I had the pads months before I even had the bike and swapped them out when bike was new. 6000 miles and I still like them, but I can not compare them to anything as I have no experience with other pads on this bike. No sings of brake pulse however. But from research I also learned to not hold the front brake at stops. I only use the rear. |

Can't find too much info here about aftermarket rotors. I know this is a few months old, but does anyone have any more info on the Braking or Galfer rotors? I'll be purchasing one soon. A couple of sites have the Galfer for about $275 shipped. |

I'm using the FA345HH EBC's. A great pad for the Uly. I have used ceramic's on other bikes and they are nice but take a LONG time to work and if you don't keep the heat in them, the stopping power isn't what it should be. On a track bike, the ceramics are amazing, but for the street and for all around street riding, the HH sintered are best. If you are constantly running tight roads at a quick pace, then the ceramics would be best. I still really like my Galfer Wave rotor. No warping at all. The first ride with my Galfer was a 3k mile round trip with 1500 miles of Smokey Mountain goodness. It never pulsed, wrapped, over heated, nothing. This trip was my 3rd on the Uly and each time before the stock rotor would warp, wilt after a few hard hours using it on those twisty roads at a quick pace. Two-up, it was horrible at a quick pace. Hence the changing. Now I couldn't ask for anything else. My Yamaha FZ1 (stock) and SV650 (GSXR set up), still has better brakes, but now the gap isn't as far. |

Great! Good to hear. I'll be getting one soon. Your pic of the Galfer is the only one I've even seen. Every place that has one only has a stock pic of one for a different bike. |

I bought the Galfer based on using them on my SV (stock front end but Galfer waves). I bought the first one that came into the US. Cycle Brakes just received the box they came in from Galfer and I took the first one. I have purchased many braking items from Cycle Brakes and really like how they do things. American Sport Bike had the Braking rotor, which is pretty much the same, 'cept for different venting hole patterns, but I went what I knew. And I am VERY happy with it. Plus, I got a great price on it. |
