I was in Red Lodge last month.....great town. Stayed at the Alpine Motel at the north end of town. I remember when I pulled up for the evening to check-in that Easy Rider pulled up next to me..... I like that Pub Foster & Logans. Met a guy at the bar that night named Tom who must of been the "mayor"...he had lived there his whole life and must have been 70 something.....he caught trout most everyday on just a line too! Great time.

Wife and I spent the night at Pollard Hotel in Red Lodge 10 years ago. Drove over Beartooth Pass from Yellowstone, killer drive. |

Looks like Gumby's ride. Did he have a tall, long-haired woman with him. He's pretty wild looking himself - wolverine pelt for a hat instead of a helmet. Beartooth Pass at Top of the World the day after it opened this year:

I know - I lived in the TC area for 40 years. Used to fish for smallmouth on the Kettle River in Banning State Park a lot. (Message edited by itileman on September 01, 2009) |

Niceeee pic of the Beartooth.....If I could ride that pass and then loop back thru on Chief Joseph on a regular basis it would be like heaven. The guy on the chopper was solo and rode up from Arizona.....saw him the next day in Yellowstone. Beartooth was a bit tough on him as it was ripped up a bit on the south side |

I'll sometimes leave from Billings and ride to Cody, WY for lunch, then take the Chief Joseph to the Beartooth, out through Red Lodge and home. Makes for a very nice day. |
