who's sliders would you recomend for the axles and other protective items to save the expensive parts, I understand that the pod covers protect the frame. |

Dark Horse Moto... his products are exceptional in quality, fit and function. I would highly encourage the replaceable derlin button sliders as you can easily and cost effectively replace the buttons if need be. He does have some budget sliders as well. You can make your own, and I am all about do it yourself stuff, but the effort has already been put into this stuff, they work great and look outstanding. Hope this helps. |

P.S. DHM's products have been repeatedly crash tested. Not knocking the guys that choose to make their own, but hard to beat a product that has been repeatedly proven to work. |

I'll pop another plug for Keith at Dark Horse. I lowsided Loretta a week after I got mine. They did their job, got scuffed up in the process. I chucked them up in my lathe and polished them up. Functional sportbike jewelry.

I once saw a guy who made a set of axle sliders out of an all threaded rod, locknut's and for the sliders, a set of 1" deep sockets. Looked good but I'm unsure about protection if it were laid down. Suppose it would suffice provided the parts were stronger than that to which they were attached. |

More common is a set of skateboard wheels and threaded rod. This is very common with the supermoto guys. ac |
