Has anyone that has installed the comfort shroud found a place to put a rear tank bag strap? I used to wrap it around the top of the shock, but that's no longer available now that I have the shroud. Any suggestions? |

Trevd, I drilled two holes at the base of the air filter cover. I then looped a nylon strap through the two holes. I attach the tank bag strap through the nylon strap. I can tuck the strap under the filter cover when not in use. |

I loop mine around the metal seat tongue. It slides off easily when I remove the seat. |

I don't know that I'd have wrapped it around the shock in the first place...but I leave mine poking out between the seat and airbox cover, with or without the bag. The dirt helps protect the finish from buckle scratches |

Ratbuell, Where do you have it secured under the seat though? When I initially got the bike, the only place I could figure to tie it to was the top of the shock... |

I got a longer piece of strap and looped it around the frame.

I cut the loop and poked a hole in each end to put the air box cover bolts through them. Seems to make it real secure, no chance of messing up other stuff. |

I believe Joe has the Buell tank bag, and the strap mounts to the two bolts on the back of the airbox cover. |

Correct. Buell bag, one cross-strap that bolts to the airbox bolts at either end, and it tees off there to the buckle for the bag, which I have poking between the seat and airbox all the time. The *tail* for the tee...that just gets stuffed down under the seat. |
