Just wanted to know if anyone was using a RAM mount for their radar detectors? If so which one? I tried looking at the site and nothing comes up for the '08 R's but You do get a few items for the '09s... Dunno why, but if anyone can share part numbers I would be grateful. |

Check Amazon.com You can find all the adapters and mounts you need. I've gotten them for a couple different GPSs now through Amazon. |

You can use the one's that bolt to the clamp for the clutch or brake levers with a flat mount or the mount that replaces the clutch/ brake Master cylinder cover or the one that bolts on top. I'll get you some numbers when you decide which you might like. Neil S. |

Neil, I've got a Zero Gravity screen and the suction cup mount that works in the cage won't work with my screen If I could get one that sets up where yours is at that would be great, if not I am going to have to go front brake side as the Zumo has already taken up residence on my clutch side. Thanks for the help, Joe |

Jim: I have Convertibars on my 1125rt. You can use a RAM mount that fits the clamp for the clutch or brake master cylinder.

Neil, Here are the pics. I still have stock bars so will the above mentioned mount work for me?
Thanks again, Joe |

What I did was use the suction cups over the IC and use some velcro to hold the front end down. Take a look:
I do some pretty rough street riding everyday and don't have any issues. Or you could run the 1"-2" strap from the windshield mounting holes and some heavy-duty velcro. Neil S. |

Fernando: The two mounts shown above will work on the r as well as the cr. What do you want to mount? Usually the hard part is finding where to mount it on the vehicle, here are two suggestions. Now are you looking a Zumo or a Sat Radio or what? Neil S. |

Didn't your Zumo come with the clamp mount too, like the one pictured above? I guess the "U" bolt gives you a few more options for location. |

uh! I'm looking for a mount which can be good for a gps or a little camera. But the problem is that it's not easy to fit it on the clubman bars. PS: sat radio? in italy? ha!ha! |

Fernando: There are some things we enjoy on this side of the pond that you miss out on. Once you have a mount to the bars, you can get just about anything else to hold your device. http://www.ram-mount.com/ has an extensive array of mounts and adapters. Neil S. Too bad about the Sat Radio, it is REALLY nice! |

Didn't your Zumo come with the clamp mount too, like the one pictured above? I guess the "U" bolt gives you a few more options for location. It came with the clutch/brake bracket mount, or you could pass the provided u-bolt through the mount instead. The u-bolt gave me a better position for the GPS... but maybe I'll take abother look at the clutch bracket mounting. For those of you with an R, you can also install a Ram Ball in the center of your top triple tree. Cut a length of 1/4"-20 threaded rod to fit just a bit longer than the hollow area in the steering stem. Use a large fender washer, lock washer and a nut to hold it place on the bottom, and a rubber-backed washer and a 1/4"-20 female Ram Ball on the top. I had this setup on my Firebolt and loved it. CR can't do this because the clamp for teh bars is in the way. |
