Hello everyone, I bought a red 1995 S2 back in August and was told about this board by the seller. (Bartimus) I've poked around a bit before but just now signed in and became an official badweather biker. I loved this bike from the moment I first set eyes on it, it is simply gorgeous. Mine is basically stock except for the exhaust, it has a Vance and Hines, and corbin seat. I hope to make this gathering in texas I've read about, it looks like I just missed the one in Colorado this year. Anyways, I just wanted to pop in and say hello! Skip |

Welcome Skip, You will really like the S2 if you haven`t already figured it out. I am not going to make the Texas meeting but the following year it is supposed to take place in the U.P. of Michigan and I definitely will make that one and if you are able I will meet you there Ed |

Hey Skip! It took you long enough, LOL. How is the bike treating you? Frank gave me a bit of a hard time for selling one of my S2's, but I knew you would be a diehard S2 owner, by the look of lust in your eyes everytime you looked at my bike last summer. Glad to see you on the board, as I told you, there is a wealth of information to be found here regarding the S2's. Frank just started a yahoo website for S2's and is posting "how to" files there. You need to contact him, and give him your VIN and build date to get on the S2 owners list. Ebutch, watching that video gave me chills. Seeing Erik so young, and talking about just going out and riding. That's why I own a Buell, to ride, not race. The old school marketing is what brought me to Buells, and that "ruthless" marketing almost chased me away. Thanks for posting that up... |

No it is not. But the "square" helmet was one of a couple prototypes that Bell sent. I have a couple of them sitting here. Brought back a lot of memories to see that video. |

COOL ! I'd save them . . you and I have a complete set. I have NEW Lightning and a very "experienced" (it's been aboard a Buell in 44 states) white one. The red, white and blue was very cool. I sold one to an actor here in NYC and have tried to find him to buy it back . . knowing full well he'd never use it. |

Bart, I've got about 6500 miles on her so far, 1700 of that was the ride home! This is truly a wonderful bike, it's everything I thought it would be, and more. |

Skip, I am glad you found the BadWeb and are preserving a great bike. The S2 and S2Ts are very special to a lot of us here. There is a yahoo group for S2 owners that is a place to keep some useful information and does not compete with this site. The BadWeb is the place to be for just about everything else. Here is the link if you are so inclined: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Buell_S2_Thund erbolt_owners/ You will need to give me your VIN number before approval. The purpose of this is simple. It is only for S2 owners. It is only for S2 owners because the S2 Owners List is on that site (with all VINs and owners). It is a way for me to store that info in case my hard drive takes a crap. Welcome and enjoy your bike. It sounds like you had a great adventure already riding home. I hope you can make the S2 Gathering in Texas in May of 2010. Do not hesitate to ask any questions about the bike. While I am not that smart on such things there are many experts here that can help with just about anything you need. Frank |
