I just called my local dealership service dept. and they are saying it is a common issue. They also said it will require replacement to fix the issue. -Have anyone experienced this already? -I hope I don't get pulled over for this given that I rely on this bike for my daily transport. -I am wondering if this is the reason Buell replaced LEDs for light bulb in the 2010 models. |

I just had one go out this morning... If the two local dealers close by don't have one on stock...aftermarket it is..! I like the bike (finally), but this is just bad mojo. Mike |

I guess I am taking advantage of the 2 year warranty as much as possible. However, let me know what you see as far as aftermarket. -by any chance, is the side that has the light out flashing much faster than the one that has both lights working? |

The side that has the light out will flash about twice as fast as it should. I've had both of my rear ones replaced 2 times under warranty. The latest ones are a new design and seem to be better. |

Thanks for the input Chevycummins... Are the latest one also LED or they are only replacing them with light bulb ones? |

There are tons of very reasonably priced LED taillights on the market. I would get some new ones from the dealer as mentioned before, this is a warranty item and they have been upgraded. You dealer SHOULD be able to do a parking lot fix as it's take a matter of seconds to install the light. One screw and two electrical connections. |

Its been months since I had the last one replaced and it was still a LED assembly. It was complete with the stalk, housing wires everything. It took a while to replace if they didn't just swap the light board from the new one to the stalk on the bike. |

I guess it's up to the customer to take the whole unit or not, but the culprit is the LED. |

Looks like my local dealership is not willing to do a "parking lot" repair. So I'll have to wait until they fully diagnose the problem. |

Replaced mine with aftermarket ones after they broke |

So I'll have to wait until they fully diagnose the problem. That should be real tough. But really, the first time I can understand them wanting to take the bike in. After a couple visits for the same part (if it re-occurs), it will probably change. |

I just bought a 09 1125CR yesterday. I rode it home 40 miles from the dealer and my girlfriend followed in my car. As soon as I get home she asked why i never used my turn signals since she knows I normally do. Come to find out both of the rear signals aren't working. I called the dealer and they told me which wires to check to make sure something didn't come unplugged. After I told them the wires are good they offered to come pick up my bike, replace the signals and will drop it back off. I enjoyed the hell out of the ride home but am kind of disappointed my brand new bike has to go back to get fixed. |

I am surprised by the amount of folks that are reporting this issue. That explains why Buell is displaying pictures of the 2010 models using standard light bulb signal lights. |

Same problem with European models. Just token from dealer, 30 miles and left rear light was OFF. Dealer did'nt know about this problem. Thanks to this forum they ordered me right replacement part. Now I have Rizoma Avio21on my CR, very beautiful. Probably Buell don't have well understand were the problem is and 2010 models have safety and cheaper light. Salut |

One of mine stopped working approx. 6 months after buying my bike. I took the boards out, "shaved" off the components and rebuilt the boards with a new led/resistor circuit. They've been working fine since. I'll prob buy a set of the 2010 types that have bulbs since I like the way they look. |

The rear turn signals on early 08 models are known to be an issue. I just bought a second bike a couple of months ago and both rear indicators are already out on it. The issue was a parts supplier to Buell changing the spec for the device. That's been remidied in a revision of the indicator, and if you will take your bike into the dealer, you can get replacements that shouldn't have the problem. |

My '09 had a RF turn signal go out along with the tail light and a loose R head light reflector inside 2000mi. Nothing has went wrong since the fix on those things. I think it must be the vibration the engine produces when it's new. I'm at 4,200 right now and the engine has been somewhat smoother, but it does make more rattling sounds at start-up. I am looking at a new set of tires here pretty soon tho, that sucks. |

Picked up my brand new '08 1125R one week ago. The left rear went out after one day and the right rear went out today. My salesman at the dealer says he's working on getting me the 2010 non-LED type replacements. I'm just kind of surprised that Buell is actually letting these units go out the door knowing of this issue. I'll keep you all posted as to what remedy I may find. |

You can buy a set of LED signals for $20, so I can't see XBlights trying to market turn signals. |

Fres, I'm surprised you would suggest to anyone to just buy working signals. What happened to your, And I quote "There is no problem, this was proactively fixed by Buell a long time ago" |

It was fixed a long time ago. I think Fresno was just responding to 07xb12ss regarding his comment that XBLights might be working on blinkers, not suggesting that he buy blinkers. You should work on your reading comprehension skills, Brad, instead of trolling. |

Been lurking this board forever, bought a 1125 as fast as I could when they came out.. I've gone through three signals... All have been warranted.. but none of them were in stock at the dealers. Had to wait for as long as two weeks to get fixed... well I gave up and replaced them both with Kellerman Micro1000 Turn Signals.. Seem to work well. |

"You can buy a set of LED signals for $20, so I can't see XBlights trying to market turn signals." that is true, thats what i did on my XB, I purchased a cheap set and they went out shortly after, i didnt want to hassle with taking them back everytime they went out so he rebuilt them for me - you get what you pay for - and the stock 1125 signals dont look to shabby so i could see some people wanting to have them re-done just my $.02 |
