Julie, I was really surprised at the large turnout for a trackday. It was almost like a raceday with the amount of people there. Have a fun day this weekend at Pueblo. I think the guys are already planning on the Chicane day in Sept. at HPR. |

I think I might have been a bit intimidated by those guys out there. I hope that's not the case in Pueblo this Sunday. |

Lynn and I made it home from Red River NM. On the way down to Red River I felt the rear end of the bike feel a little squishy and thought my rear isolator might of gone out. About 30 miles from Red River the front isolator let loose and it was impossible to do over 3K rpm. The next day I did a test run and determined I could not have ridden her home in that condition because I would risk breaking the front motor mount and or shearing the bolts. At least we had a nice ride down there in the rain just about the whole way.
At the motel
We had fun with our friends but since they are real bikers they trailered their bikes down due to the fear of rain. Lynn and Ski bear.
Lynn test the temperature of the water.... Damn cold.
The local sights
This is how my bike came home. Lucky for me Jeff did have a trailer or I would have most likely broken something else on the way home. I will have her fixed in time for next weekends Buell Rally.
I rode Jeff's EGlide with big motor home. I used to have a Eglide and I can say I do not miss it but there are advantages to the EGlide but they are only on the Interstate. |

Julie, How was your track day today? I heard about Steel crashing. Hope he is ok. He might need our prayers for a quick recovery. Did not hear any details. |

hey everyone Kathy and I will be in hartsel at that one little place that looks like a place to eat on route 9. We're going to meet Julie and her husband at 12 there on Tuesday. Kathy has challenge coins to trade from the United States capital Police. Ride up to Keystone from there. K |

John, I saw Steel crash. It wasn't a pretty site. Heard plastics rubbing the ground, then saw both bike and rider flying thru the air. It happened at turn 9. It was freaky to watch. He did get up but was limping, then the ambulance arrived. Didn't hear anything on any specific injuries. I hope he's OK. Will keep him in our prayers. I got run off the track, or should I say I was told I got fixated and went off the track. Had two guys passing me very close and somewhat got pushed off the track. Stayed up tho, just did a little dirt biking with the Buell. Things got fairly aggressive in the afternoon, so after my episode I dropped down into the B group. I was getting tired by that time anyway. But it was fun. No chicken strip left on the tires and they are pretty balled up. Jody came over in the afternoon and we had dinner together. Thanks for coming, Jody, it was great seeing you. Frank glad you made it home OK. Just one question, why not ride the Uly? Just asking K, will see you Tuesday afternoon. It's suppose to be a nice day. |

Dang! Remember the package from Zac that was at the post office on Saturday? Well, I went by there today and asked the clerk if she could get it for me. She couldn't find it anywhere! She even admitted they have the problem of placing packages too large for the customer to pull out and dropping back on the floor. She said to come back later and see if it shows up! I did again tonight and nothing was there. Why didn't the worker who found the package on the floor just pick it up and read the PO Box number it was supposed to be in and place it back in? I don't get it. And I don't have any hair left to pull! |

Babired, I hope the weather is better on the Western Slope. Have fun. Juile, it looks like Jody has found another place to get a free meal! Jody, what kind of luck is that. I still say take the old bolt out and go to the local ACE and match it up. I broke a allen socket trying to get the right side plate off the S2T to replace the rear isolator. Left side went fine. I checked three auto part stores yesterday and no one had the socket I needed. I have come to the conclusion that if you are not looking for some new cleaning product you cannot find crap at a auto parts store. Today after work I will check Lowes and Sears. This should not be this difficult. Frank

We're on our way to Hartsel. Bikes are in the trailer (just in case it rains or snows). It was only 35 degrees in Keystone this morning. Heated gear and rain gear are packed. Hope it's nice up there.Looks pretty gloomy down towards the Springs. Major headwind and it's now raining That's a drag Jody Dan mentioned the same thing Frank did, a good hardware store. Hope u find your tool Frank. I've been with Dan in search of tools (Message edited by Jumpinjewels on August 18, 2009) |

Have fun and be careful Julie! Did you find the tool you need, Frank? Zac has been helping me with my issue and I think we will get it resolved before Friday. As a backup I will visit the hardware store for a make-do bolt. |

Thanks Jody. We're on our way home now. Met the girls in Hartsel, had a little downpour, waited a few and it let up. Had dry roads up hoosier pass all the way to Keystone. Hung out with both Kathy's, we all had dinner, then I rode over Loveland Pass and waited for Dan and we loaded up the bike. The womens AMA looks like it's going to be a blast. And I have to work have fun ladies!!!!!!! |

Did you find the tool you need, Frank? I found the one I broke. I am hoping Lynn is up to go to Sears with me after work so I can get a couple more tools to do the job right this time. I am waiting on the front isolator (I had the rear ones) from Al and they are on back order. Looks like I may have to ride the Uly this weekend unless the new isolator shows up before Friday. |

NO NOT THE ULY???? only kidding Frank. Have fun this weekend. I would so much rather be with the ladies at the AMA than working (there were over 800 signed up when we got there). Oh well, with the potential gov't takeover of health care I may not have a job in a few years so better work when I can. |

Great news for me: I got the package with the necessary bolts to get my bike ready for the weekend. It appears that it was originally put in someone else's box and they found it and turned it in. Thank goodness. |

That's great Jody. You all have fun this weekend. Dan and I will be heading up to Estes Park over the weekend. It was between going dirt biking or Estes and Estes won out. The weather is suppose to be perfect. Be safe out there. |

Rear brake caliper is mounted and functioning properly. However, I'm still trying to solve the rattle riddle. This was the noise that originally led me to discover the missing mounting bolt on the rear caliper. I assumed this was the source of the sound but sadly it was snot. Otherwise the bike seems to be running good and is ready for the trip this weekend. |

Anyone want to ride out to Buelltoberfest in GA? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=37&post=1555005#POST1555005 I may be going. I am planning on riding but if someone wants to trailer a couple bikes that would be good to. Frank |

Frank, I might be interested in the trailer option. What would be the schedule...as far as leaving and returning. I would have to check it out with my work schedule...but I'd love to go. |

Steve, I have no schedule yet. I also do not have a trailer, do you have one? I am thinking, if trailering the bikes, it would be a two day drive out and back. If I ride I will allow three days both ways. Since that time of year could see cold temps and snow the route will depend on weather. Frank |
