With one race to go... I have unoffically captured the 2009 WERA North Florida Series Novice Heavyweight Twins Championship!!!!! I am still fighting in Lightweight Twins Superbike (2 points behind the leader) and within striking distance of 2nd in Heavyweight Twins Superbike!! With some hard racing, I may be able to pull off the LWTSB Championship!! Not bad for a near stock XB12R, with a belt drive! Go Buell Racing!!! Also... Tim (Smoke) has a shot at 3rd in HWTSS if he runs the last race at Jennings. |

thanks paint. now get the bike over to the garage i need to clean it and put fresh grease on those bearings as well as the other stuff i do/did. plus i need my xb9 superbike home a few days. i need to fire it up on the dyno to do some exhaust test. feel free to drop your xb12 off i can recheck fueling and clean the TB and intake tracks before the next race. i want you to get ever advantage you can get while riding out there. all i do is wrench and adjust for you. the easy part. plus help with a few other things. i have the tire funds, fuel and entry covered for my super bike you ride for me! plus i just got my sprockets and ratios ready to match it to the track there. wish i got it together sooner but it was only 1 month off my deadline. i can change a couple things on it and it goes in the super stock again. all i need is new stock 07 heads. go buell racing!!!!!!!!! duc's and rice taste gooooodddd!! mike |

Thanks to everyone. One of my goals this season was to take a near stock Buell (with belt drive) and see where I could get with it. I was able to get a WHOLE lot further than I ever expected and turned some heads in the paddock!!! Roebling Road saw some of the closest racing action I have seen yet! The conversation with the Triump crew at the end of the day was quite interesting! Next year's goal is to run in Daytona at the CCS races. I also would like to continue to run a full season in WERA or CCS. I still think I can squeeze a little more out of the XB, but I am also considering an 1125R. I have a few things in the works for sponsors next year, but if someone knows someone that may be interested drop me a pm. I have a promotional package ready to go. (I know, shameless plug. lol) Go Buell Racing!! |

How cool is that, Congratulations, and a big "Well Done" !!! What kind of bikes do you race against? How big is the grid? You must be proud, make sure that Buell knows, so they can put you in their hall of fame... |

Mostly race against SV650s and Ducatis, an occassional Triump 675, SV1000 or another Buell. I did race one race this season against the I-4 crowd. I was able to maintain about mid pack. The grids have been anywhere from just me (in my class with other classes on the track) to 14 other bikes in my class. The neatest thing about it is my race bike is stock with an air filter, Buell race muffler, ecm tune, springs front & rear and a belt drive. |

Nice going Laird. I always knew you were going to be real fast when you switched from your Tuber to an XB.
