Yes. Not even close to 125. The 1250 and 1130 aren't really that far apart in HP. You have to spend some coin to get 125 hp out of a 1250. A good 2-1 pipe, Screamin Eagle Race Tuner (SERT) with a good map and the hi-flo. By the time you're done, you're looking at over a grand to get in the area of 120-125. I have an 1130 with debaffled slip ons, SERT with a custom SE Stage 1 map and a hi-flo with open airbox and I got 109-112. The Street Rod has a straighter pipe than other models and has a supposed 2-3hp advantage. (Message edited by Buellinachinashop on August 19, 2009) |

"And if all that still rings of BS in your ears, consider that the Revolution engine is around 110hp at the wheel with 1250cc - and it again took overhead cam, multi-valve heads, short stroke and liquid cooling." Why not buy a Hayabusa, my cousin has one because he has the need for speed- 215mph in a quarter mile with no Adders. On the days you want to be COOL, Ride the BUELL! Keep your XB and Hot Rod (modify) it. It will give you something to do on Rainy Days. |

You said above "no adders". He hasn't added any engine mods? |

No 'adders' typically means no turbo, supercharger or nitrous. Big valves, ported heads, cams and the like aren't really considered "adders". |

No fuel adders- NOS, Alcohol or others. No Supercharger, no Turbo. The motor is modified so is the suspension to what extent I do not know. |

Patches...I think ol' Cuz is yankin' yer chain.. Pro Stock bikes don't run that fast...I find it hard to believe a motor only 'busa can build the minimum of 325 or so hp needed for that kind of trap speed (and most likely more like the 350 range) in the 1/4..and that is if it is a lightweight dragbike with a 10" tire...if he has done it on motor and gasoline....he needs to head to the next NHRA event and set a new mph record or two. Eddie Krawiec topped the field in qualifying for the 22nd annual FRAM-Autolite NHRA Nationals in Sonoma, CA. Karwiec ran his Screamin Eagle/Vance & Hines V-ROD to a blistering 6.915 second E.T. at 192.99 MPH pass during the final qualifying session on Saturday. Krawiec was followed closely by second place qualifier Matt Smith on his Nitrofish Suzuki running a 6.919 second E.T. at 192.58 MPH. "Patches...I think ol' Cuz is yankin' yer chain.." I Agree with you. |

For the possibly uninformed or misinformed...before somebody gets all gigggity-giggity about how much power the "V-Rod" that Krawiec and Hines ride...that motor IS NOT a modified Harley V-Rod motor...at least beyond the NHRA rules...which have general baseline specs..based on some general required similarities.... Neither are the Suzukis or the Buells... All of which are needed for racing...because the "stock" motors cannot be modified to this point. No more than John Force's "Mustangs" are "Ford".... |
