Factory teams in AMA are like Yoshimura and Graves. Heck, I can CLAIM Buell sponsorship (and do) - and PIrelli, and Antelope Valley Harley, and Disillusion Designs (Cartoons and illustration) http://www.disillusiondesignz.com/ My REAL sponsor is ME - Lavin-Yurassov Racing. I can't help but think that Cory West and Erik Buell are working it as a privateer gig - although Erik MIGHT be able to get his hands on some cool stuff. It's not a factory team. It's Erik's team that has sponsorship from Buell. That might be a whole lot of gray for some folks, but it looks to me like Erik's in charge of the team (including the bills) as himself, not as CTO of Buell. I'm sure some conspiracy theorist out there will come up with a reason of why this is "illegal/unfair/scandalous/etc." to which all I've got to say is put up or shut up. Hope they have a great run at NJMP! | ||

Funny how things work...West turns down the Geico/Buell offer, Danny accepts the offer and now sits 2 races from being champ. Eric being the cool guy he is, puts West on a bike for the finale, maybe a little scouting for 2010. | ||

Good for Danny, he deserves it. I have talked to people that have met Danny at races and nothing but good things as a person form thsi young man. I truly wish him the best and hope he takes the championship. |
