Ski, I'd love to meet up with you after the event. We're bringing the bike with us in the back of the truck. I was thinking maybe we could get a crew together and cruise metro Phoenix that evening. I've been dying to meet some of the people who post here... You know put faces with names etc. E-mail me your cell and I'll mail you mine... M1, Sorry you can't make it, you sound as busy as me! I'm putting stuff off this weekend too, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to mount a 12R on the track! Do you think you could make it out Sun eve??? I'd like to ride phoenix, see the sights and maybe hit a restaurant bar. Let me know. All, Anyone else on here up for meeting up on Sun night for a cruise? The place where the bartendress was hitting on Art??  No worries, sounds good to me. I was planning on leaving the travel bags at home and put on the kneepucks and see if I can scuff em in a bit. Are you sure you can't drag the 9 out Brian? I mean whats more important...paying only once for tires but missing out on a weekend of curves...or paying twice for tires and enjoying those curves | ||

Tucson riders will meet at the northeast corner of Ina and Sunrise at 0900 hrs. Phoenix riders, we will meet you at Los Hermanos cafe in Superior at 1130 hrs. David, I will meet you at the gas station again on Broadway, and Houghten at 0830 hrs. Sound good? | ||

Wycked-I don't think I can get my bike to a shop today to get new rubber. It's tough to get anything done during the week cuz of work and I don't have the tools or confidence in my mechanical ability to remove the wheels myself. Last thing I need is to think at 90 mph...did I torque the widget to the watcha ma call it?  I'll try to see what I can get done this morning. If it is poosible and I get it done I'll let you guys know. Also, are you still thinking about selling those crossroads off your S? edited by TucsonXB9S on March 20, 2004 | ||

Sure thing Brian but you would need to wait for me to get them from San Diego. You have the manual for your bike right? Just follow that along, when you put the wheel back on just go back and put a check in the book for each of the bolts you tighten. If you need the relavent parts out of the manual give me a shout and I can email them to you. | ||

That's what I'm trying to tell ya Mike...I don't have the tools, the manual, the time, or the patience! I'm sure if I had the right bits I could get it done myself. It's just tough with all the distractions...ya know...wife, kids, work...life in general! If I don't get the rear swapped out today, I may meet the Tucson guys in the morning just to take a peek at this rear to see if its road worthy in their professional opinion. I've been commuting to work and back on it but I'm not sure it'll take another 300 miles at high speed. I damn sure don't want to find out what a tire failure feels like at 90 mph! | ||

Are you down to the wearbars? If you can't get it done this weekend no worries. I will be taking my bike to San Diego to drop off so I don't have to worry about it with the rest of my stuff later this month, if you want when I get back I can help you get it changed out. Bring both stands and stuff to make it easier. | ||

Brian, You are smart to not attempt the tire change yourself. With the aluminum rims it is tough to get it done with the right tools without scratching them. I remember looking at your tire on the last ride. I believe I saw a worn spot in the middle? If that's true, you don't have enough to do the ride.  I have a brand new set, front and rear, sitting here that I bought about three weeks ago, but they are the race compound, is that what you are getting? If so, you can mount these today, and just let me have yours when the other one comes in... (I always keep a spare set laying around) David, get well, drink fluids... cya in the AM | ||

After a couple of weeks of just commuting, it's past the wear bars. Mike, I appreciate the offer, but it's no biggie. I'll just wait til my front shows up....any day now...and get them both installed at the stealership. Bart- thanks too but I'll just wait.
