Nickel has a yellow hue if you look into it. Chrome is brighter, obviously, but without the yellow hue. If you look at my bike you will see the difference, all be it not a great representation in the pic, between the side stand and frame. The side stand was forgotten about when the nickel plating was done. The chrome side stand was given by Just Harleys as a temporary measure, in 1998, until they plated another stand in nickel for me. I'm still waiting, despite numerous reminders. Shall I give up? LOL Rocket |

I still think that's an awesome looking S1. What wheels are on that? Are those the Metachamix ones or whatever? Alex |

Ho dean, motorcycles are sexy? Not mine. You're looking at a heavyweight fighter. Good looking, maybe, but I don't think I'd want sex with it LOL Rocket |

Rock one of the bikes I was thinkin of when I posted was yours . . . .. I think the chrome side stand will hold up better than a nickel one, so you may want to give up on the waiting part . . . . that said, it's important to remember the following truism . .. .chrome won't get you home |

Wyked, you're a naughty boy Newf, for short time when I first put 'em on, I couldn't tell, but then I hit the twisties hard, and I had an awakening. With the race kit springs installed too, it feels much different from stock. She feels more flickable which I'm sure she is. That said, it's a distant memory LOL As for your question, without tyre or disc fitted to either wheel, you just wouldn't believe how light they are. Incredibly so! When I got 'em out of the boxes they came in, me and a friend were in awe of how light they were. You shoulda seen the grin on my face. We were passing 'em back and forth like we were playing rugby. Don't ask the price! Rocket |
