If any track-day junkies live within striking distance of the Hallett Racing Circuit (about 20miles west of Tulsa, Oklahoma), you may want to know that there is a 2-day track day happening there 10-11 April . This is s great Buell track – plenty of curves and elevation changes – not so much straight. Classes for new to track-days through Racer School, 1 or 2 days. Im giving it some serious thought Blake. Its a track I need to be better at + it is suited to the Buell more than Texas World or MSR - Much like a bigger verison of Oakhill. Depends how much money I spend on the OHR weekend and of course my day job.

Hey Gang. I signed up last week for this. When I was looking at the pics of the track it seemed like alot of straights, are they not very long? It seems like fun, and the people who I have spoken to that have done it seem to really like the track.I've never ridden oak hill, just Cresson and TWS. Im seriously thinking of signing up with CMRA just so I can get cheaper track times and have an excuse to road trip it to Henderson. I really like that part of Texas (outside of the part I live in now). |

There's a couple of TSBA San Antonio guys going to this as well. I thought about it, but we're planning an Arkansas trip the last weekend in April and It'd be hard to get away for both events. |

Austin: Hallett has only 2 straights that are actually straight and their not particuallarly long - You wont get 5th gear on any of them. There are plenty of steep hills on the other bits that look straight on a track map or pic. 1st time out its pretty intimedating Join CMRA. Its worth it just for the $70 access to Oak Hill just about anytime you want. 119 |
