Sorry Keith, this is the worst site to sell a motorcycle on. Now they smell blood, the low ball offers should start. You have a beautiful bike, try cragslist.Good luck. I'd really have to disagree with that statement. I've bought 3 Buells from the classifieds and have never been disappointed. I feel comfortable buying from a fellow Badwebber because I know he's an enthusiast like me and not just somebody buying and flipping bikes. I have written and sent a cheque for $8,000 for a bike unseen after having spoken to a fellow Badwebber. I would never have done this for a Craigslist or Ebay bike. The only reason a bike won't sell is because of price and while I agree that the bike in question is very nice looking I'd also have to point out that it has leaking gaskets and needs paint. IMHO the price is indicative of a bike that has the problems fixed. Perhaps if the seller fixes the problems in question he'll have better luck selling. He might even get a more than the price he's asking! JMHO |

Nice bike but too expensive for an M2 with the mileage and leaks. Especially when decent S1's and S3's are selling for under $3000. |

Well it doesnt really matter now cause im 90% sure that its sold this saturday for $3200.00 and it will probably be a chopper in the next year. i tried to sell it to a bueller and nobody wanted it. but money talks and this guy is willing to pay the price for it. and LAKE_BUELLER 1. it doesnt LEAK a drop of oil but after a nice LONG ride the there is a little SEEPAGE from the base gaskets, not like a fouuntain or anything. 2.those bikes are not coming with an assload of extra parts that you can sell and drop the price of that bike to under 2600 bucks. Dictionary definition: seepage –noun 1. the act or process of seeping; leakage. 2. something that seeps or leaks out. 3. a quantity that has seeped out. Call it what you want...it still leaks. And it will only get worse. Trust me....my S3T "seeped" for about 1 1/2 years before becoming a full fleeged stream. |

Kudos for being honest. Have any of you ever replaced the base gasket? It's not a fun job. Especially the front cylinder. |

WTF I think people have a hard time selling in places like this cause of people like you. always down talking and offering opinions on shit that you have absolutely nothing to do with. if you dont want the buell....and have no interest at all in trying to help someone out.......STAY THE F#@$ OUT OF THE THREAD!!!!!} |

Dude....this thread shouldn't even be here. There is a classified section for selling items. Did you notice I've stayed clear of the thread that is in the PROPER location? Until you can follow the guidelines of the board, I'll continue to post about the issues with your bike. Now back to the bike in question....why won't it sell? 1) Leaks oil from a location that is time consuming and/or expensive to repair. 2) Needs a paint job (Message edited by lake_bueller on August 07, 2009) |

First off. it is in the proper location. this thread is a freakin link to the classifieds about an OLD SCHOOL ITEM. And second, i really get a kick out of douche bags like you who have nothing better to do than knock other peoples to get your kicks. mind your business. nobody asked you opinion in the first place DOH.....silly me its a forum so you automatically think its welcome. i hope you sell something in the near future cause im gonna shit all over it, same that you did. |

Come on guys...No reason to get so bent out of shape here... I do however think this thread belongs to the Classified section. Once you post here you make yourself vulnerable to the type of comments you are getting. I am sure you could have cleaned the bike real good and sold it with the "leak/Seep" without telling the new owner. That's what my bike's previous owner did to me with a leaking starter gasket. You do deserve a lot of credit for your honesty. You all have a great weekend. |

WOW...you post here wondering why nobody is willing to pay your price for your bike. Sounds like you were asking for opinions. I gave mine. BTW...I've been riding Buells for 11 years and a long time member of badweb (officially 8 years). I've done more to promote this brand than 90% of the people here. Oh yeah...I also own 3 Buells. Lastly...I didn't "shit all over it" in the classifieds. If you'd like, I can start posting this in there also. Bring it, punk! |

chill the f out, dude. the bird is really unnecessary. You got your nips twisted over the seepage comment, well... the bad is that the seals are starting to seep at the base of the cylinders. - taken DIRECTLY from YOUR post. you said it yourself and failed to elaborate upon the situation, so what did you expect? Lake- i dont care if you helped Eric Buell Himself build the first buell. all i asked is for you to keep your opinions about something that is not yours, and you are not interested in buying, to yourself. And i guess ill just start blowin smoke like others and tell people that my bike is flawless and perfect. And torque.....ITS CALLED HONESTY. i am being as honest about this situation as possible. but when some one says some stupid shit and tries to down play somebody else's thread, then you over step your boundaries. thats like me going into a thread in the classifieds and posting. "i wouldnt buy this thing. its over priced and it needs new tires." ITS NOT MY PLACE TO SAY THAT....get my point??? |

thats like me going into a thread in the classifieds and posting. "i wouldnt buy this thing. its over priced and it needs new tires." You just don't get it. This isn't the classifieds. I don't bash peoples classified ads. I feel like a broken record....you wanted to know why you bike isn't selling. I gave my opinion. But I never have (nor will I) bashed your bike in the classified section. |
