They've been drilling for oil in Kern County, CA since the 1890's and just announced last week they found another 200+million barrel reserve. http://tinyurl.com/mvw7k9 Estimates are based upon known reserves. No one knows what's still out there. Technology will advance to allow for deeper and deeper drilling both on and off shore. What's true is that the cheap oil is running out. As it becomes more expensive then alternatives start making sense. |

As as time goes on, the price of alt fuels will come down as they are improved and refined upon. |

"Sounds like liberal truck bashing to me. try towing a boat or getting some real work done with an s-10" How big a boat you taking? I've pulled a fully loaded(120 horse OB) fishing boat to Northern MN with no problems,my tandem axle trailer and big block power boat to where ever and pulled a tandem axle trailer with 100 bales on it ..with no problems at all(4.3 5 speed)Not to mention the "stacked as high as the cab" firewood loads or 20 4x8 sheets of drywall/plywood. Sure,I don't pass anybody...no big deal for me to not have to lead the parade. |

This oil thing IS real but it's been going on all my adult life. It will still be going on after I'm gone. I had a really good ride yesterday. |
