Any ideas? I have a Power Commander on my 99 X1 with K&N in stock box, V&H muffler, high perf 02 sensor, and race ecm? I found a map for stock ecm with these components, but nothing close for race ecm. The few maps that dynojet has on their website for race ecm cause it to not want to idle. They're for more modified systems. (I did reset TPS after installing race ecm). Thanks for any guidance. |

X1, I don't think you're getting anything from that PC other than a headache with your current configuration. The race ECM is just fine for that combination all by itself. If you really want to use the PC, I suggest getting it dyno tuned so a custom map can be made for your bike. I have the same bike, and I have a PC, however the power commander is in a shoebox on a shelf in my garage. It seems to make my bike run better from there. I'm not knocking PC's, but unless you get them mapped for YOUR bike, I don't think they bring anything to the table. Jeff |

X1 I have an X1 also. Wileyco slip on, high perf. O2 sensor, k@n filter, race E.C.M. AND p.c. III. i Have had the bike on two different dyno,s for a total of approx. 8 hours. The map I ended up using is M803-008S. with some fine tuning of the three buttons on the p.c. face plate. Having gone through all this during the course of 1 year, I would agree with Hootowl. I am now running the bike on the race E.C.M. and standard O2 sensor. I have had better throttle responce from the race E.C.M. on it,s own. I would advise using Shell V power fuel, this is what it is called in Ireland name may vary where you are. |
