Italian exhaust manufacturer QD have a new system available for the 1125 models. This is a lightweight titanium muffler with magnesium end cap and includes 45mm headers and 52mm link pipe. It is supplied in fully Euro legal form with a removable db killer and removable catalytic convertor (dyno figures are with both still attached so expect better figures with them removed). http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/prods/367.html

Hopefully you're kidding. The price after conversion to US dollars is $956 without shipping. And it pretty much looks just like the Jardine that is half that price. |

Exactly. It was sarcasm (hard to translate over the web). ac |

Some of us may want this. Finally an exhaust that is not going to blow out eardrums and looks different that the stocker. Also keep in mind it is a full system. There's a market for this one. (Message edited by doerman on August 11, 2009) |

Is it actually a full system? It is tough to determine that from the description. ac |

Looks wise, the Remus is still the only one that looks right on the bike. I know the power is questionable with it, but I still might try it and see what Dave at osb could do with it since he's local for me. |

Carbonbigfoot, I'm sorry, with the stock heat shield the headers didn't look different. I didn't know if they meant 45mm y-pipe and 52mm mid pipe. You never can get the translations from English to English just right. LOL ac |

Well, the stock head pipes measure 1.75" outside, which translates to 44.45 mm, so if rounded up, 45 mm? 52 mm = 2" pipe, so same as a Jardine for the midpipe. I'll build my own for that kinda $$. |

Full system? No. Slip on to STOCK primary tubes? Yes. |

I like it but I like the Jardine more for the money. How loud is the Jardine any way? |

Is the Jardine deep sound or raspy? |

Here comes granddad.... Be aware, that all these exhaust need a lot of fuel to have a bike that runs smooth.. |

The Jardine has a very sharp bark when it first fires, then settles into a pretty loud grumble. Full twist on the throttle and you have an extremely loud bike. I liked it initially just because it was louder than stock. I'm looking into fabbing my own now, just need to find exactly what I need for the primary tubes for wall thickness and bends. I'll end up with one that was posted here a while back, but nothing ever happened with it. I think it was equal length headers/pipes all the way out. I don't think I'll get the equal length totally sorted, but it will be semi-close when it's done. I just need to find the funds for doing it. School is rapidly approching, and I have 3 kids in high school now, so bike funds can be a stretch to find sometimes. |

An exhaust like that NEEDS a belly pan to fix up the look of the bottom of the bike. I HATE the way that front loop of pipe just hangs way out there in front. I do prefer the look of the stocker which wraps tightly around the bottom of the engine and fills in that space. Second best is the Remus, but until a US distributor brings it into this country en masse, lowering the price some, it'll remain out of reach. Nothing against Trojan, but the exchange rate makes it too damned expensive for this Yank. |
