Just got my 1125r a few weeks ago from HD dealership and its a 2008 demo. Supposedly, the district manager for Buell had it. When they delivered the bike it was never checked out and they are fixing the issues i have found ( no rear brake at all, and clutch plates ) my ? is anyone out there know why a 08 with 8000 miles on it would need new clutch plates. my guess is the district manager has no idea how to ride a bike and was downshifting without engaging the clutch. any input would help.

Maybe someone could have used a little time in an MSF class learning about "friction zones"?

A demo isn't usually cared for in the same way a bike that cost the rider $12K would be. Let them fix these problems and keep an accurate record of everything. That way if you do end up having multiple and repeated problems you at least have proof.
