Court I was in NYC last week, actually near LGA and walk to the Neptune Diner in Astoria. It didn't look like much but food was pretty darn good.. The grilled Octopus was outstanding, the Gyro not bad either. Ever been there? (Message edited by missin44 on October 09, 2009) |

Many times. And . . . . EVERYTHING from that corner to the water adjacent to Hellgate is Greek. You were sitting under the "N" Train in Astoria just off the Grand Central Parkway at the foot of the RFK (formerly Tri-Boro) Bridge. If you'd driven 10 blocks more you'd be at the front gate to two of the power plants I've been involved with. Go over one block (behind the Steinway piano factory) and there's another plant we built and a new one just starting. Great neighborhood. By the way . . . . Socrates is only a few blocks away . . . . just follow the Yellow Brick Road . . . .

Also recommend Mike's Coffee Express Since 1980 on corner of Ditmars and 100th St. (next to LGA). Just a little roach coach with good eatin's. |
