In my humble opinion unbiased reading comprehension and the ability to use a dictionary along with utilizing some forethought just may prevent the recurrence of "Foot-in-Mouth" disease. |

I am so pumped about the ET class but I dont know anything about what to do yet, but I know I want to win. Well, it sounds as though 1320 will give you some ideas. Also, don't forget about Wes and Pam at Cycle-Rama. In addition to being the HP gurus Wes was a Pro-stock racer "back in the day". He can still ride the wheels off of any high horsepower bike. We'll get together and have a little fun!

unbiased reading comprehension...ability to use a dictionary...utilizing some forethought Don't worry about it Nev, seems strange for it to happen to you, but hey it happens to the best of us sometimes !!! I admire you because admitting it is the first step in correcting it !!

I joined this topic because it has an interest I have a like for. S1 Lightning's. So let's pick the bones out of my first post and see what we get. I personally much prefer the S1's to look minimal. Timbo's looks right to me. Seems like a fine comment to me. Toro's hybrid looks a little cluttered. Not a criticism, each to their own and all that, but I don't like the right side heat shield nor the cut down rear hugger and the ham can is reversed making it look more ugly than normal. Carefully written so as not to offend, sort of. Other dislikes of mine include the rear sets. Looks like meccano to me. Do I need to mention the seat? The last sentence perhaps a little tongue in cheek. After all, the seat on the bike in question looks like it belongs on a commode. Just kidding <cheeky grin>!! Wow is that thing clean. Plenty of calluses on them there fingers me thinks. A jovial way of complimenting the owner for his hard work in making his scoot shine. Then follows a pic of my favourite S1W. My own. Then follows, from others, several compliments directed toward my S1W. There was the fun comment from Simond that I responded to cheekily, otherwise my next post was me replying positively to Timbo's question, and offering information to Lake, after which I wished him GOOD LUCK. Then, about a day and a half later Dana wrote Rocket the ham can on Torro's bike is not reversed.Where do you get that.Pro series BUELL race aircleaner. Well I apologize, but I thought that post was a little ignorant which is why I said Thanks for pointing that out Dana. I'm well aware of its origin. I went on to explain how I'd made a mistake in my first observation, simply because I'd paid the bike very little attention, so looking again I thought I'd poke a little fun at Dana so I went on to say Looking closer, something I didn't do before because that poor bikes been bastardized so bad I would be in tears, an obvious lie on my part I realize it's that awful shield thing going on covering the battery that made me think the ham can was facing the wrong way. Which was the truth behind my mistake, and in my inimitable style I poked a little fun at myself by offering I do apologize for being such a goof head and ending on a cheeky note but no apology for making me look again!! After I'd posted the above I received a few personal insults. No problem, I probably deserved them seeing as how cheeky I was. I understand that people might see me as trolling which is why I posted a frank and honest response, then I get big bad Blake picking out parts of sentences I wrote (a good trick I see done often on BadWeB) in an effort to make me out the bad guy. I'm so damn glad that people like Nevco, Cycleglide and Soundman exist. Without people like them this place would be a humourless cesspit. Donn, like I told you, you're wrong man. CJ, you started chasing me around this board several months ago. Not once have you ever posted one bloody good word to me or for me, BUT you have constantly offered your poor opinions of me, and you continue to do so. Here's one for you. Get lost. Don't speak to me, or about me, until you've had the pleasure of meeting me. Blake, you're often telling me I have issues. Ever thought about your own? Your head is stuck so far up your righteous self opinionated arse. Man you're a self confessed expert on American politics, the war on Iraq, journalism, road racing, polishing metals and lord knows what else. Well fella I'm sick of telling you a few truths you don't wish to believe, but worse, you deride me on the board because of them rather than engage me with a private word or three. You've never even had the decency to pick up the sodding phone either, despite my frank emails to you. Tell you what I think. You're a bigoted prick Texan tosser and you can fuck well and truly off, and if you don't like me saying so, DELETE me. It'll be your loss Mr fucking oracle. Cheap shot, especially since my opinion was not directed at anyone in particular, but that's about all one can expect from a Rosanne Barr Wannabe. You have carried out your little vendetta for seven months now and it is both old and childish. Furthermore, it is the reason I left Brew City, BRAG and now the BWB. Life is just too short to continually be exposed to a person like you.

CJ - Firstly, Rocket is a Yorkshireman, and we in the colonies should be honored that a member of a society of people renowned for their good taste would share some tips with us. Have you tried their pudding? It's heavenly. Secondly, those in the UK do not go in for emoticons it goes against the National Rule of "SUL", or Stiff Upper Lip. It can make interpretation of the "Queen's English" in it's written digital form quite difficult, but with some time, patience, and a few Saturday Classes at an accredited learning institution you'll get the hang of it. Now, since Sean topic-policed me already this week, isn't this thread for bike pics? |

I think We (I) just need to get used to Rocket's style of humor. So much is lost in simple typing. My fault Rocket, if I mistook your post, or as I would say, "my bad". |

OK boys and girls! This thread is starting to sound like a similar board out of Sacramento. The best thing about this board is the ability to voice ones own opinion. I personally never met Rocket, but I respect his opinion just as much as I respect anyone elses. He probably won't publicly admit it, but I think he has one of the nicest S1W's I've ever seen. He doesn't like rear sets because he only likes going in a straight line in the salt. We can all understand that. Now, can we all go back to posting pictures of our bikes for chrysake. |

Wycked - Bads1 is right, that is the fabric. It is a red and black weave - kind of looks like snake skin. I don't think I'm having any more made because of problems. The lights are Hella FF200 fog lights. They are as bright as the high beam, with about the same range, only they cover much more area. I might change one to a spot in the future. Last summer I often rode to the beach after work on Friday's. Curvy wooded roads made me think they were a good idea. |
