I was noodling around on my S3T tonight and I knocked my right side fuel tank isolator into the hole in the front cylinder rocker box cover! I'll bet that's never happened to anybody here. I managed to fish it out through the space between the push rod covers. I know, it's supposed to be glued on the frame. Well mine got old and the adhesive let go. I should have taken some pics, but I was just amazed that the thing would drop in that hole! Just my luck. |

Ahhh, 3M Weatherstrip adhesive (the somewhat nasty yellow stuff) to the rescue! Just clean stuff well with iso alcohol, and for a really sano install a masking tape 'shield' works well. Just be sure to remove it right away. And what are the chances that a 1 inch piece would fall into a 1.1 inch hole. Thought I was the only one that kind of thing happens to. |
