OK, we have all heard about this legendary needle. I am having a rough spot in the 3100-3700 range and I am trying some cheap fixed to try to diagnose the problem. A new needle may solve the problem, or at least make enough of a difference that I will know that jetting was the problem.

So where do I get one. I checked the internet with no luck.

If you want to try something cheap for testing just put a shim under the stock needle to hold it up higher; as well as I remember I shimmed the needle on my M2 about 0.030" and the results were significantly better than the N65 needle that I bought back in the day; the shim is still in there too!

I have shimmed the needle. Not that much though. Maybe a couple more washers.

Normally about .050 on a stock needle makes a noticable difference.

It did on my stock M2 anyway...
