Kahuna See my earlier post to H-Man on the 18th for the numbers. The fat tank bars should all be the same. |

Anybody running a Corbin on an S1? I was wondering if it gave you a more comfortable ride, and how the leather is holding up.

Corbin G&L in psuedo Carbon Fibre when I use the twintail configuration. Holding up fine. Like all Corbin's the "pocket" is too far back, and I'm 6'1. It screws up the lines of the bodywork but the extra width is needed for my fat arse. When I have the solo tail on I use the new Buell Custom Solo Seat. It only costs $200 and does not have the radical dish of a Corbin. I tried both and like the Buell seat better. I recommend it for solo configuration, and I have done up to 400 mile days. Do not buy the previous Buell Pro Series seat. |

I've got a Corbin on my S1, and I'm not nuts about it. Seems like it doesn't have enough "crown" in the middle--on a long ride, the outer edges cut into the inside of my thighs. r-t |

I have the same problem with the Dual seat Corbin. A little less width at the very front would be an improvement. Josh; the Pro Series is OK for skinny kids. Us MEN need more width in the seat pad. The new Buell seat provides that. |

Thanks for the information about the seat. I think I might go ahead and get the Buell custom seat. |

I want to buy a 2000 S3T, but I need to drop the seat height a couple of inches. The specs I've seen show the seat at 31.5". Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. David |

American Sport Bikes sells a lowering kit for all Buells 95-99 for around $300.00 (US). Lowers the height by 1". Don't know if it will fit a 2000 S3. American Sport Bikes Catalog 5B look on page 13. edited by kodas on July 01, 2003 |

Or you could find someone with a 2001 M2L and swap suspension & sidestand parts. Not sure where you'd find such a fool. Patrick. (owns 2001 M2L)

All I'm looking to add about 2 inches to the seat of a Blast (it's already the standard seat) . .. anyone know of a place in the Chicago/Milwaukee area that will do it sometime before September (Alligator Bob's business has apparently gotten really good!) thanks |

Banke Performance Rearsets w/ shifter kit rocks! I purchased the kit at your recommendation, coughed and choked at the price, but paid it anyways. This kit was PERFECT. Bolted up just like they said it would. Really guys, this is the way to go. They did a custom one off GP shift pattern for me at a minimal additional cost, and I am quite pleased. Go Banke! |

I like my Corbin saddle for the M2. It didn't fit at first, but after about 1k miles it fits perfectly. Recommend it. |

Question: Anybody figure out a way to keep the seat anchor screw from vibrating out of the seat? I'm thinking drilling and safety wiring or something? Suggestions? Regards... |

Hi guys! Got a 99 M-2 which I love but the handlebar vibration is just too much for me! Filled my bars with silicone, installed gel grips, and even wear gel cycling gloves but my both hands} still numbs in no time at all while riding. Has anyone ever tried fabricating a Harley style upper triple clamp that uses the anti vibration handlebar dampers? It doesn't look like that big a deal for a competent machinest and if it works would really make the bike nicer to ride. Any ideas or suggestions? I'm really out of ideas and don't want to get rid of my ride. Thanks, Damguy |

I just read a post where someone else went through the same thing to find out it was the primary chain out of adjustment.Give it a try and let us know. |

Damguy, my '01 M2 buzzes at lights & such, but smooths out nicely over 2500rpm. Pleasant throb, but not the nasty tingle of a 4 cyl. Check Bads1 idea then check isolators, & for looseness in mounts. |

Have you added end weight billets to the handlebars? I've got 'em on my '99 S3 and they've helped dampen the vibration to a reasonable level. I've also seen bar-end mirrors that supposedly help, but haven't tried 'em. |

Thanks for the replys guys. The primary was just adjusted at 5k when I went to HD Syn3 throughout. Kodas where did you get your billet bar ends? Also are you refering to Napolian Bar End Mirrors?Aesquire, mine smooths out after 2500 too but not enough. Better check those isolators for tightness. Thanks again! damguy |

Not sure about the end weights. Dealer put them on. I assumed they were an optional accessory for the bike at the time. I see there are many brands out there. Let me check and see if I can discern the brand and weight I have. American Sportbike.com Catalog 5B Page 15 has several examples of mirrors and end billets. This is not a recommendation of a particular product line or company just an example...I'd check with a Buell dealer for ideas. First noticed them being used on BMW tourers and mentioned it to my dealer. He started putting them on all the S3s including mine. Unhappily he's long gone...works in a bimmer shop somewhere. edited by kodas on July 23, 2003 |

Hey Tripper, You got a pic of your s1w with the new custom seat on it? I am thinking I am gonna get me one I am just curious as to how it looks. I havn't found a pic of one mounted yet. I have put about enough miles on the stock one! P.S. I am still willing to pay shipping to get my stock drink holder out of your way! |

Hi Fussy. I do not and I don't have digital capability. Just do it, it is MUCH better and looks better than a Corbin (2/3 the price) Email me your address and I'll get the beer stand boxed up. |

Has anyone here swapped a M2 shifter on to an S2 before? I've heard it can be done with just a little shimming. My S2 and I got into a some loose gravel and bent the stock shifter. I bent it back enough to get by but you can still tell. I wasn't too thrilled with the old chrome lever anyway. |

Hey all! First time to post, and I have a problem I could use some help with. I just rode my M2 Low from Houston to Lawton, OK and my butt was reduced to tears before Ft. Worth. Any suggestions for a more comfortable saddle and/or modifications? Will the more padded seats for the non-low M2 fit on my bike? Thanks for helping out the new guy!

BlueCyclone, The standard M2 seat was good for about 900 miles/day for me. The low seat is 1 inch thinner due to less padding. Of course different rear ends handle the same seat differently. Usually the bigger the rear, the more surface area therefore the pressure is distributed over a larger surface. MCN had an interesting series of articles a short time back on this very subject. If you don't need the 1 inch lower seat to safely touch the ground when stopped, the regular M2 seat should help quite a bit. Obviously YMMV.... Brad BTW, Blue is a good color! (check my profile, I'm biased) |
