I fished this up a couple months ago but I never got around to posting the pictures. It took the better part of a Saturday from start to finish but I'm very happy with the finished product, especially with the new carbon fiber hugger and new mirrors. For reference, this is the 'before' picture: And these are the 'after' pictures: I relocated the plate directly below the taillight and used the lens from an M2 to illuminate the plate. I cut away the excess plate bracket and then had to cut the truck tray to match. Then I epoxied a new plate to the end of the trunk: I used steel brackets to affix the plate. I picked up the taillight bolts to mount the steel bracket to the tail. And this is the final assembly with the turn signals installed:

Nice job. I've been slicing fenders off bikes since 1994. Most people wouldn't think to fix the box. |

Thanks for the compliments. Other than an exacto knife, dremel and epoxy, it doesn't require more than a few hours of work and some careful measuring. It was actually quite a bit simpler than I expected and it reassembled right up. It would be pretty easy to duplicate if anyone was interested. |
