Just finished reading the "Lube" section in the Knowledge Vault.

Being new to Buells I'm ignorant on the oil level check procedure(s) I've been reading. I just ordered a Service Manual but it hasn't arrived yet.

I checked the dipstick on the M2 this morning & it was just barely on the dipstick after sitting overnight.

What is the correct procedure to check the oil on a 2000 M2?

Check the oil after a ride to warm it up. Hold the bike level and check the oil. It's not recommended to check the oil cold.

Thats with the engine off after it is warm, bike held level. Level should be at the lower range of the dipstick.
