Here i'm again, i just installed my D&D Slip-On, and the results are awesome!!, specially midrange, but....Criminally loud, it's too loud for Europe ( il-legal 100% ), and always when i riding i'm afraid too find the police , so it's possible to make the D&D quieter without lost too much power |

D&D appears to be the loudest of all aftermarket exhausts. My suggestion to you is sell the D&D and get a V&H. A well packed V&H gives you the performance and is not criminally loud. |

Haven't ran it yet, but I think this may be even louder that my Race Header with D&D Race muffler... Thanks again Erick!

i have the same exhaust on my X1. Yes it is loud when you hammer down. Sell the muffler and buy a different one, like Vance & Hines or any other brand you find. I will buy it if you sell. I have a cobra i also slip on that i use for racing. So keep your header and collector and get new can |

I like the sound but it too dangerous for my pocket, jaja, so may i'll mount a DB-Killer, and not hammer down a lot when i ride in town |

When you see the police, just pull in the clutch and let the motor idle and coast on by. Works for me here in the states |

Lovedabueller...I like that move too. You don't know loud until you hear a KT pipe. Holy nascar batman and I have the baffle in it. |

"D&D appears to be the loudest of all aftermarket exhausts." +1 I know a lot of people claim that force is the loudest, but I've heard the two running side by side - within the last week actually - and I think the D&D has a little more volume. Mine is louder since I bumped up to 10.5:1 compression though, so on a stock engine, the force may still be louder. Both sound amazing as long as you're ok with setting off car alarms. At times I wish I had a mute button though.. like when I'm getting home from work at 6 A.M. |

the idea is to mount something like that http://www.carpimoto.it/content/prod/l_EN/s_443_Ex haust_Spare_Parts/pr_27866_DB_killer_Mivv_choose_y our_silencer.htm But if i'm not wrong there is no size for the D&D |

if you don't like the volume of the D&D, but don't want the V&H because it requires repacking, why not get a universal fit glasspack and experiment with a cheaper muffler? I'll be using a Cherry Bomb Glasspack for my S3 build.. just got it in the mail from Jegs last week. The body of PN# 87507 is 18" long, 3.5" diameter, and an overall length of 22.5". If you measure a D&D, you'll find those figures identical after you shave 0.5" off the overall length of the Cherry bomb. The only thing missing is a clamp to hold the muffler to the rear mount and that's a pretty simple fix - especially if you order a Z bracket and clamp from D&D. I'm anxious to see how a $30 muffler works out. |

Pk, the auto glasspack, on a Buell it will sound like a mid size metric cruiser with Cobra drag pipes that have non removable baffles, sorta like a asthmatic mouse farting in a tin can. |

"sorta like a asthmatic mouse farting in a tin can." so you're saying it will still be an improvement over stock? That's the beauty of a $30 muffler. If the sound does make me think "rodent" then I've got an 87 civic just begging for a fart cannon. |

I have had most aftermarket pipes on my tuber and the KT exhaust is the loudest. Skntpig said it best above. |

Ive heard the d and d, its not that loud as people make it out to be, i rode my bike with the kooks system around without a helmet, oh my god i never realized how loud it was. Bring it up to 5k rpm and let off, its beautiful sounding. |

I came across a Bullett muffler a year or so ago on eBay. Looks like a black Cherry Bomb muffler. Haven't run it yet as I have a factory race exhaust on the bike now. Anyone know of this Bullett item? Safe ride, Gary in Oaktown |

I have tried the v&h carbon fiber loved the loudness, I think if you want an adjustable sound go with a super trap. I am running the super trap with the stock header and 12 disks also with an open cap. We will see on thursday when it hits the dyno!! |

sounds good. it's hard to hear detail via youtube but it sounds like the dB silencer removes a lot of the raspy sound when the engine RPMs are dropping? |
