Guys and gals, I'll be changing my factory pipe for a Spec OPS next week and I was wondering if it's necessary to have jacks for this procedure? It may sound like a dumb question, but I wanna be prepared. |

A couple jack stands and a 2' peice of rebar are what I use. stick the rebar through the rear axle. Then put a jack stand on the right side. Next push the bike up so that the rebar on the right side rests on the jack stand and then slide your other jack stand under the left side of the bar. Take 2 minutes. |

To change the pipe it can sit on the side stand, no problem. Having the front/rear stands are nice to have though. Lifts everything up just perfect and keeps it all level. |

Thanks guys. I may just buy the stands anyway. Think I'll go with the T-Rex stands. |

I just did mine on the side stand. But if you want an excuse for the stands then yes you need them. |

Did mine on the side stand at MB 2008, with Odie and other 3%ers doing the install. I tried to get in and help, but they formed a circle and kept me out!!! LOL |
