Hi all, I am brand-new to the forum, as I have just bought the Blast as my first bike! I have been poking around here for a while, and everyone seems so great! So, I just bought a 2001, with 12000 Km's on it, and have only taken it for 2 rides. I bought it Stock except for a Jardine exhaust. I don't think that it has been re-jetted, or the air filter changed. Is this bad? How can tell? How long can I go? I would much appreciate any advise. .. and Hi from Canada! |

Welcome Tedder, Congrats on your BLAST. The only way to know what jets are in your carb is to drop the carb's bowl and unscrew the jets and look at the numbers on them. With the air filter, just open your airbox and look at the filter. If the filter is green it's the stock one. For more details on carbs and rejetting http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/201 64/6812.html?1245601394 Please read through the info there before you open your carb though, It can get tricky if you don't know whats what. |
