David, indeed the Blast is a good choice. You are in luck too, Frederick has one of the best Buell dealers too! Stop in and ask for Joe, he can help you out. |

Hello american Bueller's I am french, living in France. Sorry for my uncertain english ! I have bought a brand new XB12X about one month ago. I had yet an M2 ten years ago. I had liked this bike at this time, but it didn't really corresponded to my utility. Now my Uly have about 3000km (1865mi). She's really a good bike, I should say that it have just been built for me! I will have some questions and some comments... I'll put them in the corresponding topics. Have all a nice day |

Greetings from Kewaskum, Wisconsin! I think that it was about a year ago that I first posted here. At that time I had an '04 Kawasaki Ninja 500, and had aspirations of owning a Buell. That day has come. I am now the owner of a black-on-black '09 XB12Ss. I absolutely love the way this thing handles! I will be fitting it with the Buell heated grips, and Ventura luggage. The small sport pack will do for my everyday commute, and the 51 liter pack will allow me to do some light touring. Did I say that I love this bike?!

Hello all, I'm in Stockton, CA and just reached my 500 mile break in on my '09 Xb12Ss. Sure is different from what I'm used to (BMW, Japanese anything, Duc) but I'm loving it and I'm glad to see so many people who feel the same way. |

Hello Buellers, I bought a 2000 X1 from a coworker in late march and have been lurking on here ever since. I'm 23years old from Green Bay WI. Its my first bike and I couldn't be happier. Finally got off of it long enough to setup a user name on here and I look forward to chatting with everyone. It's really a great community you have got and I am glad to be a part of it. Keep the shiny side up, Jared

Hello I've been lurking here a while, doing a little research, which culminated in me buying an 02 X1W. Love it, looking forward to the miles, which it will have to share with the Norton and the FJR 1300. http://ranmar.smugmug.com/photos/559645680_BmGh9-M .jpg just a quick pic after taking delivery, some mods already on the way. Anyone got a ham can around they want to part with? |

Hello everyone. I am new to riding. Taking the rider's edge course in a couple of weeks here in michigan. I really like the buell brand. But I am very disappointed that there is not a bike between the blast and the bigger bikes. I do not fit well on the blast. It is just too small for me to ride comfortably. Really wish Buell would consider making a 650-750cc bike. Would really like to buy a Buell, but I don't think an inexperienced rider should ride any Buell bikes except for the blast. I will probably have to buy a japanese bike, but don't really want to. Oh, and Harley's are just not for me. Really like the looks of the standard/naked bikes. Thanks for all the great info on this forum. |

Hey Brian, My XB12Scg was my first bike. I'd only ever ridden the bikes from my safety class 2 year prior. (Oh I did ride a GSXR 600 around the block once) but two years later I've ridden almost 20K miles on my Buell. Sure, I've dropped it a couple of times, but that's the beauty of the Buell... my scratches add character! And when I'm ready, I'll pop off the pucks and order some new plastics and no one will ever know! Get what you want now, you may have to trade up in 6 months if you don't! |

Hello everyone. I'm a long time rider, but this is my first Buell. So far I love it however, I find it difficult to travel any long distance as it is not the most comfortable ride.

Welcome to Badweb! That's a beautiful S1 you picked up for yourself. I'm surprised to hear that you are finding it's ergonomics for longer rides limiting, though. There are many chapters that have been published about the R&D that went into the S1 to try and make it an all day ride. Oh, well. It looks like hell on wheels, so it must be fun on the short sprints that you do get to take. See you at Sturgis! |

Well Im on here cause I need advise as what to do with my 05 XB12Scg..2 months ago I had the pleasure of introducing the local wildlife (190lbs deer) to the daul headlamps of my buell at 60mph!! Needless to say it (or the girl on the back of my bike) did not see the humor in it! I seen it as a more eventful way of hunting in Michigan! We survived with minor injuries (good gear goes a long way), as for my four legged creature of the woods he was not so fortunate..he not only took a rib shot from a bike with two riders on it but took two .40 cal shots to the head from the local law enforcement. Now the bike survived quite well minor dent in frame and the usaul things when a bike goes down..blinkers, mirrors, pegs, etc..Now the insurance company wants to total it..i want to fix it..buy it back fix it myself..buy it back sell the parts..choices , choices...any ideas would be great..i know if i buy it back i probally could sell a lot of stuff on here and help a few people out.. |

Hello fellow buellers. I am not a member here but have utilized this board for some good advice in the past, so I though i would pass on an interesting experience i had this weekend. Long and short is my bike would not start. Turn the key, press the starter, and the relays just click (no juice even makes it to the starter to give it a bump. Tried everything (including a new battery and testing all relays for continuity). Everything checked out and I was stumped and very angry. Happened to notice while checking things out in the fuse panel that the headlight fuse was blown. Swapped the blown one out with the spare and VROOM! She started right up. Apparently there is some safety system that prevents the bike from starting without a functioning headlight system. Thought i would post this to let others know, as none of the dealers i spoke with this weekend ever heard of this. Hopefully this post saves someone the frustration I experienced this weekend. It may be worth having a few extra spares in the tool kit just in case! |

Hello all, Just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought an S1W. It runs fantastic !! Been looking for one for a while, had to find one close enough for me to go see at a price I could afford. So it took a while. I previously had a 95 S2 and a 96 S1. Both were a lot of fun. I am sure I will enjoy this one too. Jimmy |

Just joined the forum and wanted to say "HEY" to everyone. Own a 03 XB9S and love it. Been machining and designing my own parts for it, which now keeps me busy. Really enjoy the Buell group of people, meet some great people in the last year on other forums, and hope to do so here. Anyone here from Oregon ? Really need some local riders in the Mid Valley, almost all the Buell riders are in Portland. |
