Just curious to know if there are ULY's out there with like a hundred thousand K's or more on them yet, and if so, what got replaced and at what intervals. There seems to be some hard riders out there, so just wondered at how far one of these babies will go, and what needs doing to keep it going. Thanks. |

64k miles since Jan 06. Mileage isn't piling up nearly as fast now since I was laid off in April. Since new I have replaced: Clutch cable (broke at lever), front motor mount, oil cooler (persistent small annoying leak), rear wheel bearings (once) and the belt (just as a precaution before a long trip. The OEM battery died this week. The engine still runs great, trans is great and I have no leaks to report. It uses about a pint of oil (Mobil 1 15w-50) between changes (at 3k mi). Still getting about 45 mpg in all around use. No complaints. Best motorcycle I've ever owned and the most fun hands down. |

I am just a little under 40,000 on my 06. Highest I know of was a 06 with 94k, and only thing that gone wrong was oil cooler was starting to leak. |

Just past 57K this week on my 06. Made a trip to Chicago and back to Alabama in 4 days. Fan was replaced at 20k, all four wheel bearings at 47k, clutch cable broke at around 49k, front breaks at 30k and the belt just broke at 52k, a two weeks before my trip. Glad it happened then. |

I was at 55K last December when I hit a deer and totaled the bike. Starting over with another '06 and only 14K so far. I had many of the same issues already mentioned, no big deal; bike never stranded me. Two that haven't been mentioned are (1) clutch needle bearing, and (2) rear spark plug blew out (!)...there's a long well-photographed thread on that one. Ruined my entire Fall '08 riding. Obviously I like the Uly, though, cuz I bought another one... --Doc |

Just shy of 78,000 on my 06 when some jackass ran me off the road a month ago. I miss her terribly. I have never owned a bike that I enjoyed as much as this one. |

Hey, thanks guys, for the responses..I have just had done my eight thousand k warranty, and had the bike about two month..down a couple weeks with a broken collarbone, yup, on the bike..busted some stuff, nothing more serious than the collarbone.. I just gave up a road king for this jem, had over a hundred thousand k's on her, with nothing so serious, just used up. So, was curious to the mileage history on these ones.. I do love riding this machine, my god..it is amazing.. Thanks again.. OH, and I bought it from a dealer four hours away, ride of course, and the nearest service two hours away..ride of course, had the last warranty service done, several hours away..hey, it is about the ride right.. |
