Some Badwebbers have asked me lately.......here an Email I got from Jezza about what he's been up to. Hi Eric I hope you are all well, I would love to catch up but I dont think I'll be in Laguna this year. I had been racing at the first round of the IDM championship in Germany, we have the Superbike Academy team based there, we run a young Irish protege named Josh Elliott, he finished 2nd and 3rd at Nurburgring (last round). My luck ran out at the first round when a rider skittled me and broke my ankle!! Ok now and hope to race next weekend in Sachsenring. We've put a bit of time into the bike prep since early season and it's paid off. (XXXXXXX) The web site should have more on the Superbike Academy soon, you are all welcome to come along, check it out www.superbikeacademy.com and when the site is fully operational let the forum know-please. Best to all Jeremy McWilliams Hi again No prob to put up what's been happening and it might help get an interest in the Academy, we hope to have more bikes to rent out at the events by November-depending on demand. At the minute we have a new blade and 2xGSXR 750's available. Josh was 15 years and 3 weeks when he finished 2nd and 3rd at Nurburgring, the youngest rider to podium in a national Super Sport 600 race. He beat former World SSport runner up Christian Kellner and 2007 IDM SSport champion Sebastian Diss, we knew he was special but that result took us all by surprise. He's only tested with me 3 times pre season and raced 600's twice-2 races, Lauzitz and Oscherleben, he's causing quite a stir. Wish us luck for Sachsenring, I'm up and walking again but need to get into the gym if I'm going to stay with Josh... Even though the XBRR's race results were less than he may have hoped for, it was a thrill for me to watch (and hear) Jeremy race it at Daytona, Laguna, and Mid-Ohio. I can't wait to see what's next on the "to do" list for Buell in the professional racing World! |

Jeremy and Josh had a frustrating weekend at Sachsenring with mapping problems due to fluctuating weather conditions. Josh spent a little time with my former team INTRENTRACING before moving on to bigger and better things. Remember the name Josh Elliot you're going to hear a lot more about him soon. I had lunch with jeremy and the Ducati importer at a Ducati Trackday last year - myself and Jeremy spent most of lunch talking about Buell to the chagrin of our very considerate Ducati hosts. |
