I got ECM spy, D&D exhaust w/ air box delete, brought it to the dyno to tune it, the shop got it perfect. drove it away, next time i started it, it ran so lean it had no power and wouldn't run right at all. Am i missing the reason it won't stay tuned ? I just want to ride it ! |

What was your AFV at the end of the dyno and what is it now? |

+ 0.5 for me @ 7,500 miles. Suspect something worn/dirty at Throttle Position Sensor. You've accounted for ECM's self-readjustment, AFV, via 02 sensor? |

Al at American Sport Bike has said that the map where the ECM learns has to be at 14.7 or it will put the whole map off by adjusting the AFV. This sounds right to me. Did the shop richen the area where the ecm learns? This would explain the lean mixture as the afv has adapted to the new map as it is supposed to. |

I'll look at all these today, going back to the shop/dyno and check it out. Thanks |

Nhfirebolt Which shop did you take it to? I live in nashua. I bought a 2006 xb9sx lightning with the jardine pipe. Have a lot of decel popping. I am not sure if it was remapped or what other mods were done. Otherwise runs great just the decel popping. Thanks |

The decel pop is a characteristic of the jardine exhaust. Also, for those of you looking into the ECMspy.... they have shut down as of June 1st. I bought the cable on the 30th of May and went to download the software a few minutes ago. The website is still up but the downloads have been removed. |

Brandon, You may have hit their site when they were re-loading things. I just visited, and v1.12... for windows is dated june 9, 2009. Maybe they had some updates to do or something. Try again. -Chris |
