I have a pair of handlebars that put me more forward and down, but I'm thinking about trying to get the stock ones (they didnt come with the bike). Do the stock bars let you sit up straight(er)? |

Post a pic of the bars you have. Stock ones will sit you up a little. Are you going to end up selling the ones your takin off? |

I want to try to at least sit on an X1 with stock handlebars or something first. Anyone know if the XBs have the same basic dimensions so I can sit on one at the dealer? If I can find some ones that I like, I might want to hold on to these ones anyways, sorry. Unless how much you want for them? haha

XBs have significantly different geometry, like totally different. A stock bar will sit bout 3" back and 4" up form the bars you have. Visualize that as you sit on the bike and you'll get the idea. |

You can try to go to a dirt bike store and get something that isn't too wide. The stockers are pretty comfortable and you should be able to find something comparable at most any spot that stocks bars. There's a good chance that you can sell those bars for more than the new ones will cost. Good luck |

Ok next time I sit on it i'll try that. I just find myself getting really tired leaning forward so much... definitely been building up my hand and arm muscles! I'll probably go get some stock, then if i like them I'll let you all know and sell these ones. Just out of curiosity, how long does it take it change out handlebars? Is it a big pain in the ass? |

New stock bars are startlingly expensive. I suggest you find some used ones or get some dirt bike bars - make sure they have enough pull back, if they are too straight they'll strain your wrists (since we sit further back than you would on a dirt bike). |

From what I have read, the X1/M2/S3 bars are the same. The S3T bars sit a little higher and have a little more pull back. Limited, is your set an S3T set? If so I'm looking for some. |

I had those bars and they killed my wrist so bad on long days. I went to a pair of super bike bars I bought off of ebay for less than 30 bucks and they felt a hell of a lot better on my wrist and they are still kinda aggressive.

superbike bars, had to make the fork stop pads on the frame a bit thicker, my starter button just clears my tank at full stop i may look into fabbing a custom bar mount to hold renthal fat bars, not that i need them just to say i have fat bars

so your hands go numb? I mean I haven't ridden for like hours at a time, but even after like 45 mins i could still feel my hands, my grip just starts to get weak mostly just from holding the throttle... i guess it never hurts to get stock bars anyways. |
