The last Buell is being made TODAY. A XB!!! It is getting a little real now. With all this going on I will be selling all my bikes except one. I have decided to get an Electraglide to support HD. NOT!!!! |

Hey Julie or anyone else with a 1125. I noticed that I do not have running lights on the brake light. It comes on when the brake is applied but I thought it should be a running light as well. Maybe the license plate light is bright enough but I thought that was strange. |

Frank, PM me with a list of quirks or issues. From what I read you have a bike with issues. I will talk to a factory trained tech if we ever open back up from the storm. HCBuell/H-D has been closed two days now. |

Frank, We have had some turn signal issues, harness related, but those are LED lights. My guess having not seen the bike is the good old filament is burnt out on the running light portion of the two-filament bulb. Have you pulled to cover off and checked that? |

Thanks Dave!!! Kitty you know how it is, snow for a couple of days then nice for a couple of days. It does suck when the white stuff is falling and the bikes are in the garage. I hope I25 has no residual snow this weekend. |

And where are you planning on going this weekend, Frank? We haven't noticed anything yet on the 1125...mainly cause we haven't gotten it out yet |

Frank, yeah, the tail light should have a running light. Could be just your bulb burned out. Tried a new one yet? Or better yet. Get and XBlight tail light. Love the one on my bike. |

Ryan, yeah, I feel like an idiot. I thought it was a Led light but guess not. The bulb is burned out. Dave clued me in earlier today. Of course it would be a bulb I do not have. LOL. Did you get back from WY yet? |

Yeah, got home on Wed and went with my fiance to see Wicked in Denver on thurs. Must say, good show, I actually enjoyed it. And I'm certainly not a musical kind of guy, but I actually enjoyed that one. |

Dan's working on making GP shifting for my bike. I hope he can get it to work. $275 is steep for the one in the Buell parts catalog. We went to a mc salvage yard today to pick up some parts. I really hope he can do it |

Where is there a MC salvage yard???? Sounds like Dan is busy making parts. Is he making two of each for when he gets his? Lynn rode her XB12Scg today. I still need to work on the seat before I send it out to be redone. I will let her tell everyone about her ride. |

It's Steele Motorcycle salvage yard off Sante Fe and Union up in Denver. It's definitely a boy place. They have lots of cycles for sale too, all used but really good prices. Right now he's just making parts to see if he can apply it to my bike. If it works he'll know what he needs to get for his. We're trying to change shifting to GP. So far so good and if it works it will cost around $80 to do it. I'm really hoping it works cause I stalled my CR when I test rode it, went up when I should have gone down. |

I got on the bike pretty late today, but got enough mileage in to put it past 300 miles. I am falling in love with this bike the way I did with my XB! It was too cold and sandy on the back road I picked out to push hard in the turns so I kept it in 3rd gear and got used to the brakes between turns. The acceleration is great when the engine is running between 5K to 6K. That gives you a good balance between engine braking and acceleration. A few times in the straight sections I twisted the engine up to 7K and found that seems to be the natural shift point for the bike! On the XB that would bump up against the rev limiter. I can't wait to get this bike on the track this spring.

I'm so bummed. I haven't been able to get my bike out yet, can't get up the driveway, too much snow. Maybe some will melt tomorrow and we can go out after church. Soon, very soon. Can't wait to get this bike on the track tho. |

Steve, that's exactly what I told Dan we needed to do to get my new bike out of the garage and down the driveway. He looked at me kinda funny. I'm still working on him. He also may have the moto GP shifting done so I definitely need to try it out. RIGHT!!!!!!! He's laughing AT me (Message edited by jumpinjewels on October 31, 2009) |

Well, Dan did it. I have moto GP shifting for $40 in parts. It did take him about 4-5 hours of machining though and he is exhausted. Now to try it out tomorrow. |

Well Frank and I tried something today, he put 1 and 1/2 inch blocks on the ground under my feet when I was sitting on the XB, and it was almost a perfect fit...so tomorrow when I bring my new boots to the cobbler we will see if he can put a inch/inch and a half or so lift on my boots....wish me luck...I hope it works.... P.S....in my next life I will be taller, this being short stuff is getting on my nerves....... |

P.S....in my next life I will be taller, this being short stuff is getting on my nerves You and me both! When Carlos asked me what my inseam was, I replied "short". I'm waiting to see how things work out for you and the Scg. That's what I think I want next, but not sure I can reach. Being short sometimes sucks! Congrats on the new bike. Be sure to post up pictures! |

Well I had my maiden voyage today. Broke 100 miles (112). I was able to stop and put one or the other foot down at traffic lights. Dan did have to put up the side stand for me tho to get started. I was able to put it down when I stopped. Got up just over 90mph. That bike rocks. I can't wait to get it on the track. And I didn't drop it and I was able to make it up and down our gravel driveway. I can relax some now. I was very nervous about this bike and if I was going to be able to handle it. Yeah being short sucks WOW big smiley face |
