Saw an article in a mag a long time ago claiming the Firebolt being the worlds best cornering motorcycle. Anyone know where one could find it? thanks in advance. |

I'll get you closer, just use Google. "The Firebolt was also presented with the coveted "Best Cornering Motorcycle of All Time" award by Britain's Bike magazine..." http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/buell/buell _xb12r_firebolt%2008.htm |

I rode an XB12R today for the first time. I'm in serious love with serious wood. |

Yup, I love mine, still got wood after two years. It reminds me of the TriTon (Triumph/Norton Cafe racer custom)that I rode once at TT Motors and Machine in Berkeley in the early Eightys. It also reminds me of the Vincent Black Shadow that I never rode. The Buell XB9/12R are modern classics IMHO. |

I've ridden 9's, but thought the 12's would just run like them. No. Its a tad different, a little more pop. |

Good luck. I read this and searched for a long time. I found tons and tons of links to pdfs and other places to find it. Alot of them led back to buells site but they apparently dont have it on there anymore so. I tried. |

Dave, am I reading that article correctly? Does it say the Firebolt has an inline four with 999ccs, 159hp and goes 181 mpb? |

The 999cc, 159hp and goes 181 mph is just a typo of course. I hate typos, because I make so many of them! On the other hand, the idea that an XB12R " takes far less effort than the longer, heavier, slower steering 999R" does not comport with my experience riding the Ducati 999S. The more one reads this article the more likely one might come to the conclusion that selecting the best cornering bike of all time is an impossible task, and that this article, while amusing and delightfully complimentary to Buell, is largely fanciful.
