How? Can I use a Motorcycle jack under the muffler like I did the XB? I searched the forum and haven't found an answer... just a bunch of smart @$$ replies... Any one know? I have no rafters in my garage so I can't suspend it...

I've used a Motorcycle/ATV jack under the muffler before. You should be fine. Check the Service Manual for the lift points.

Just use the "search" function...!

There are threads on the board with pictures and drawings with dimensions as I recall to build a wooden cradle to use with the ATV jack.

Yes there are but for an XB, which has jack points marked on the muffler. I don't see any such points on the 1125r. I did search the 1125 board the last person who asked about Jack points... got this type of response.

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/299269.html?1186867395

or this that says do not lift it by the muffler

And a bunch more about hanging it by things.

But no real answers.

when i took my front end off the first time to repair the broken shock mount i put the rear on my swingarm stand first. i then put the front on my front stand that picks up at the holes in the bottom of the fork tubes. i then put a ratchet strap around the 2 ears of my tuber footpeg lift stand, pulled it tight and put it under the muffler biased towards the front. i then removed the front stand, capturing the muffler on the strap between the 2 lifting points of the tuber stand. stayed that way for about 3 weeks while i removed the front end, triples and frame, repaired and put back together. not the most stable way as the bike would sometimes try to lean over but it was easy to push back into place. i still use this method while changing the rear tire. hope this made sense.

The service manual gives no details on lift points... So I fabricated a wooden cradle like the XB one and used that under the muffler mount points. Works well pretty stable and doesn't look like any undue stress.

when i removed the front to take the frame off to have it fixed, much like smoke. i made a brace to hold the swingarm vertical then had a friend put wood blocks under the front of the muffler while i lifted the front of the bike just a little bit. then just loosened everything up, pulled em off. it was quite stable, probably like that in the front of the garage for a month and a half.
the service manual does show something about lifting points... i found it just scanning through.
