Any luck finding that vid yet? I'm very interested in watching it. I'm having a couple carb issues so I'm hoping that will help. Thanks. |

I found it. I just have to clip it. I realized I did a lot and forgot to catch shots, so I'm going to borrow my daughter's camera, thae the intake apart, and take pictures. I think pictures would be better since I only recorded between steps. I'll stick it in the carb section when I get them all together. |

Back to the head light flasher trigger. Mine was not working. I noticed that the switch cover could be peeled back to reveal a spring. While I had the controls off changing the handlebars I gave this a little more attention. I removed the switch from the control box, and after studying the switch a bit and testing it by arching using a screw driver I figured out how the switch worked. What was missing in my case was the pin that struck the center contact when the switch was depressed. I had no idea what this pin looked like, but I ended up finding a pan head bolt that was just big enough to thread into the top of the spring and with small enough of a head to fit in the trigger cap. After examining the travel of the switch I cut down the bolt till only a mm or two was left and threaded it into the spring. I reassembled the switch, and now I have a working head light flasher switch.

I have an LED turn signal question. When you replace your stock bulb turn signals with LED turn signals your signals flash really fast because the "Flasher" thinks one of your bulbs is out. My question is should I replace the "Flasher" with an LED Flasher (which I am leaning toward) or use the huge resistors that heat up that the LED turn signals came with (including warning to keep away from any plastic) to keep the flashing at a normal pace? |

Resistors are bad, mkay. You can get the flasher at just about any auto part store. Just bring in yours and tell them, "I want one just like this, but for LEDs." |

So i dont know about you guys but with a size 11 shoe my feet barely fit on the stock pegs.. So i came up with an idea Pretty Shnazzy huh? Now my feet will fit just fine.. And some of you will say that the peg will scrape..welli have never scrapped a stock peg so maybe now i will scrape this one. Tell me what you think |

I'd be worried about them falling/sliding off (I dont know how tight they are)especially when wet. Yes the stock pegs are pretty small and the problem seems worse if you've gotten the ever popular bent in y-frames. Scraping pegs is fun, those will let you know when you do! |

I was wondering about pegs before. Do any of the other Buell Pegs work on the Blast? |

Great thinking - though I'm really the guy who would want pegs half the stock length - so I'd cut those in half - lol - EZ |

yea i thought about cutting the bike pegs to stock length(and it would take forever with a hacksaw)...which could always be done...but this is version 1.0 so for now im happy |

The Buell Traction Pegs don't fit? I saw them at the dealer, but they wanted $75 for them. |

Ooh! I have some of those! I could do that! I could start beveling whole new pegs! One of these days I'm going to stop and look at that road where I take my right turns coming off the highway to Frederika and see if I can find any interesting gouges. I don't scrape there any more since I learned how to hang off the side. They say "hang your ass off the side." I tend to hang my whole self off, with my left shoulder trying to get close to my right hand. Is that overdoing it? |

can anyone direct me to a pdf of sorts with buell blast part numbers in it? Specifically i'm looking for '02 parts, but I bet they're mostly the same. I want to find the cover that goes over the engine sprocket of the belt drive and a few other cosmetic parts. Thanks! |
