I bought the Jardine on the cheap just so I could get the Y pipe (collector) and mid-pipe. I figure, for $250, I couldn't go wrong with it and I'm not out a lot of $$. I still have the stock one if I decide to put that back on later. I need to find out what material that can is made of for sure before I buy one. It's only another $180, so I'm still at 1/2 the cost of a Drummer and I'll have 3 different pipes. |

What's the deal on the Saron pipe. Is the exchange still crazy? Last I heard they were going for over $1000. |

What did all of your AFV's go to after you swapped your stock exhaust to the HMF. Just good info to have for future reference |

Has anybody noticed if the HMF drags while on the track? I called HMF and they said that if you lean the bike pretty far it would touch. But they said it wasn't bad. My problem is is that I like the under the bike set up a lot. But I don't know what the Drummer costs and the HMF does sound pretty good. I am looking for something that makes the bike sound better but not hurt the lean angle. The biker has pretty much become a track day bike with just a little commuting to work. |

Just got my "After" dyno run with the HMF pipe was mostly worrying about the air fuel ratio. The baseline dyno run with a K&N filter, stock exhaust and 6% fuel added globally with xb9's program was 129.2 HP and 74.7 TQ Air fuel ratio was pretty decent for globally adding fuel This is on a dynostar dyno which consistently reads 5-9hp low off of there New Dynojet Today was about the same temp and conditions out 84 deg in the dyno bay I added another 5% fuel over what i had with the stock exhaust. The air fuel ratio was a little on the lean side on the top end so i need to tweak it some more.End results today 136.2 HP 79.8 Ft Lbs. The Tq and HP curves are pretty good also.... i did notice the TQ levels off (not dip) between 4500 and 5500 at 70 Ft lbs i think with a full tune the pipe has more potential...pretty satified for now....noticed the power when riding also |

The HMF came in around 5pm and I was done at 6pm. Pretty easy install, all though they only sent me two t-clamps....I need three. anyway, that disappointment aside, it was fairly easy for one person to do. and it sounds fantastic! And yes....it is filthy, its been raing and my car is in the shop. Enjoy.... http://wmg.photobucket.com/albums/v510/scicom/HMF%20Install/?action=view¤t=b43c662b.pbw (Message edited by sci on May 13, 2009) |

Changed the oil and put about 50 miles on it this morning and it just sounds better and better. Personaly I think its the perfect sound. Deep, not as much pop as most pipes I have heard, looks good and its one of the cheaper cans. Couldnt ask for anything more..... Duncan |

Sci, i bought my clamp at a local Farm supply store they happen to have had a pretty good selection. i got lucky...but if you call HMF they will send one out asap. Throw some more fuel into the mix and that popping will go away... |

mine has been poping when slowing to a stop, is that what is causeing it needs more fuel?will it hurt anything if i keep riding it until i can get a programer? |

Most likely the reason because its running lean ....i added a good amount of fuel already and mine is still lean in the upper rpms....so i would suspect yours is lean |

its not popping that much, i was just saying it pops less than a few others I have heard. Speaking of adding more fuel, I have a direct link i can use from my 2006 XB12R. Can I add fuel using that? or is it completely different? I want to say i have read somewhere, someone had done this, but i have been wrong once before. |

Hang on just a little longer guys. I believe you're going to be real excited about what is about to be revealed. I don't have permission to share photos but if what I've seen and read is any indication, this will be the system for me. Not too loud and lot's of power. How does dual outlets sound with a chin fairing? BR. |

BR, you gotta stop with the teasers...It does sound good, IMO. When is "soon"? Are you talking in the next month, the next 6 months, or the next year? |
