Looking for a set of stock headers for a 1998 S3 101HP Thunderstorm engine. These have 1.75" header OD and a 2.5" collector. I have Buell race headers and muffler on bike now that I might trade. |

CrazyH, What shape is it in? Any dents? Don't need the slip-on just the header, what are you asking for it with shipping? Thanks! Don |

Sleez, The Race header and muffler are both in excellent condition. I remember I put the race system on because I hated the dip in power the stock system gave you in the 3000 to 5000rpm range. I'm just tired of the noise. I want to put the old system back on and see if I can live with the power dip. So, until I try that, I don't want to make any rush decisions on getting rid of my current system. Sorry about me mentioning a trade...I wasn't thinking it through. If you want to sell your header I'd be interested. |

Sleez, I got tired of repacking it with all kinds of fiberglass packing so I tried stainless steel wool like they use in the Austrailian Staintune mufflers. Works great! Quite a bit heavier but lasts forever and is at least as quite if not more so. Still too loud. |

Someday, sounds like you have tried the good stuff. hope you find one, if i hadn't spent 14 hours polishing mine i might let you borrow it. they are becoming hard to find, since they are the same as the S1W pipe. even though not quite as hard as the race pipe to find. |
