Author Message   Easy_rider Posted on Monday, May 04, 2009 - 12:51 am:        Last year I attended an Aprilia event over MotoGP weekend that got me thinking that the Buell crowd could do something similar. I thought I'd have this done in January, but haven't attacked with any sense of urgency. Now it's May, so I better get moving! There are a couple of American Legions near the track. Rental is about $600 for an evening based on a quote from one of them. Food & drink would be extra. I'm not sure if it gets cheaper if I use a member to make the reservation, but I'll look into that. Somehow that seems a lot higher than I've seen. How many would be interested in using a hall as a meeting point after practice on Saturday night? Note that this would interfere with seeing the dirt track race that night. Should be a great weekend.   Easy_rider Posted on Tuesday, May 05, 2009 - 03:27 pm:        I got a quote today of $300 for the hall using a member of the Post as a sponsor, and $50 for a bartender for 4 hours and $10/hr after that. That's starting to look a little more reasonable. The room capacity is 285, so I think we're fine there. I've got another place to check out for comparison and will provide an update.
