I thought I read here, somewhere, that there is an optional seat for the F'bolt that will fit the 1125R. Anyone know if that is correct, and the part # if so? thanks.

yes, I own the touring seat myself. The pillion touring seat will work too. I didn't modify either at all. Just unbolt stock one, remove and install/bolt in the touring seat.

Works great...I highly recommend getting the quick release kit from American Sport Bike. The part number from the latest catalog...which is on the Buell website for all to use is 52319-02Y.

OOPS....Yes that p/n is the seat. Thanks to Zac for keeping me honest.

For clarification, the p/n Mike gave is for the seat.
I also recommend it.
I switched to the Tour seat the day I got the bike - 17 months/17,7 k miles ago.

I run the firebolt seat. I have 2 total. One for sale for 50.00 bucks in mint shape.

I had a hard time putting the firebolt seat on until I took off the passenger seat. With the passenger seat removed, the firebolt seat slips right on. I do have the quick release kit as well.

Trying to figure this one out?

Spectrum,

I took off the factory seat, by taking the screws off and removing the seat. I then put on the firebolt touring seat and when I tried to slip the touring seat on, the catch on the bottom does not want to slip into the slot on the bike. Once I took the pillion (passenger seat) off by inserting the key and lifting it off; It was much easier to slide the catch on the bottom of the seat into the slot on the bike. after the firebolt touring seat was installed, I put the passenger seat (pillion) back on and clicked it into place and removed the key.

I hope that clarifies what I was trying to say.

Mike

I set the seat in place and punch the center as I slide the seat forward.
Works every time.

Come to think of it, I always have the passenger pad off because my tools are under it...

Just got one today, looks great, went right on. It's flatter front-to-back than the stock one, which I think is good (have to give it a longer ride). The stock seat curves too much front-to-back, so after a while it can feel ... uh ... anatomically incorrect, if ya know what I mean.
