I hate that even though the bike is dead sexy from every angle, some people come to this board only to diss the looks. These cry baby drama queens call the rest of us with normal taste, blindly loyal to the brand. They cant for one second imagine someone has a different idea of sexy than they do. These delusional, hypocritical, naive dorks have opinions about as helpful as a wet fart. They also have a smug sense of entitlement that makes them think Buell OWES them a bike they think looks just like an MV or Ducati. Get a clue, sheep dips. |

1.) Seat's too high (I'm 5'10"), 2.) windscreen's too low (I bought a Zero double bubble), 3.) muffler outlets are half the area (total) of the inlets (total), 4.) steering's undamped (I bought a GPR, set at 10), 5.) no petrol gauge (I was not told by dealer), 6.) doesn't get the claimed mileage (unless dropped by helicopter on the freeway @ 4,000 rpm in 6th and picked up at the end of my journey), 7.) instrument cluster's too low (I tried to relocate it up by 2" but harness is too short), 8.) spares are hard to come by (mine's been at the dealer a month, they say now will take from another bike), 9.) the rear brake doesn't (brake, that is), 10.) coolant level can't be seen (I drilled a hole in the outer shell, filled with plug), 11.) the two oil check methods can lead to overfillling (cold says low, hot says high), 12.) can't fit bigger sprocket/belt without expense of also changing swingarm, pulley. Other than that the 09 1125R is PERFECT. (Message edited by redscuell on April 22, 2009) (Message edited by redscuell on April 22, 2009) |

I hate that I get all this dirty looks from guys on Japanese bikes, is like they are afraid of it!!!! I hate that there are not a hole lot or B Riders in my town so I'm always on my own! I hate the fact that no one knows what it is so I'm always getting swamped with questions about it! I hate that it can leave my old Firebolt in the dust and still carve corners just as good. Yes I loved my old Firebolt, but my 1125R is so out there I have to hate it!!! I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!!! |

I count 5 times. Originally posted in the thread below and edited once to bring back to the front. Copy'n'pasted the same post in this thread and edited twice to bring it back to the front. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/453718.html I'm all for folks posting problems and asking for help. Done it many times myself and many thanks go out for all help I've received on this forum. Multiple reposts and claiming opinions as problems or fact and not asking for or accepting help is just being a troll. |

Hey Red, you have crossed over into troll territory. You have admitted you are getting rid of the 1125r, now your mission appears to be turning off potential buyers. Your Top 12 list is, well, entertaining to say the least. You must be smarter than all of us on the Badweb and all the moto journalist cause you have found things that NOBODY has ever found reason to complain about. Looks like you didn't test ride the bike cause most of your complaints should have been discovered on the test ride. And the rest of them were addressed here on the Badweb to one extent or another. You have an '09 so you definitely had time to analyze what folks here were saying about the bike, both good and bad. You most entertaining points are (tough o pick just 2 cause all of 'em are easy pickin's): 3) muffler inlet vs. outlet complaint--the stock pipe has some of the best engineering on the whole bike. Getting that much power out of the bike and still meeting gov't regs is amazing. 5) no gas gauge--uhh, this is a sportbike. Dealer didn't tell you? C'mon. Last time I looked BMC had a website that has all the information about the features on the 1125r. Or maybe you misread gear indicator as gas indicator? I will agree that the oil check procedure is difficult at best and definitely inconsistent. But then that would have been something you could have gleaned from the Badweb as well. |

You're supposed to check the oil level? uhh, all i do is change it every 2500 miles. Have yet to actually check the oil level. On to things I hate. I hate that Buell hasn't figured out how to set up the fuel injection. They should 'leak' a proper fuel/spark map to dealers who could charge a nominal fee for inputting it. I know that after reprogramming my ecm, it runs like a ducati, smooth, fast revving, better fuel mileage, better low speed running, cooler. I think someone should start a thread discussing this. I would do it, but so far, every time I post discussing this, my post has gotten buried. oh well, I'm sure some one at buell must like the bike doing a harley motor impression. |

-I hate that I got a free Harley Davidson plastic key fob with it and can not find a Buell plastic key fob anywhere. Nothing wrong with HD, I ride a Buell, though, and it is just annoying to have to have an HD key fob on my Buell keys. I even considered getting some plastic Buell key fobs made, but I would have to buy at least 100. Still considering it. -The other thing I hate is that I can not seem to get the clutch to stop weeping for more than a few months. -I also hate that I do not have enough cash to sink into all of he modifications that I want to put on it. -I also hate that in order to get some of the really cool stuff, I have to have a racing credential (I guess it does not matter, since I can't afford the crazy race item prices anyway, but if I sold enough blood and other bodily fluids, I would still not be able to get them without a racing cred). on that note, does anyone have the number to the Buell racing parts black market and a good place to sell blood and other bodily fluids? -I hate that I ride the Macintosh, Saturn, Linux, Netscape, Sun Microsystems, Amway of the motorcycle world. -I hate that my bike is a battery tender addict. Every time I take it off the tender, it goes through withdrawals. -I hate that leaned over at about 50mph, that it does not get traction through patches of sand. -I hate that Buell has not made a high flow air filter for the bike. -I hate that I have to work so often and do not get a chance to ride more. I don't have any serious complaints, just a few comments and observations I guess. The oil check is a PITA - no biggie though. The clutch engagement occurs in the last 5% of travel. All the reflashes have been annoying but they did resolve most of the problems and it's fun to hang with the guys at Liberty. It lives attached to the battery tender. I guess I need to get the instrument cluster replaced under warrantee. There's a product program 0504 I need to get done. Both my rear turn signals are now burned out. None of these are a big deal and it's a fine motorcycle. The biggest negative has more to do with me than the bike. I just don't care for sportbike ergonomics on the street. On the track it's perfect, but on the street I find it uncomfortable. On the other hand, my XB is just about the perfect street bike. I'm hoping I'll like my new Brutale as much as the XB. |

To be honest...the economy chaps my rear end. I paid $13.2k out the door to get on one of the first few buell's that came to Pensacola. Now there's a dealership in southern fl with new 08's stickered at $7900. WTF am I supposed to do with my 1125 that I'm forced to sell cause I've moved outta the country? </rant> <sigh> Eff my life =) |

Just saw two of them go on ebay that had very few miles on them and they didn't bring 6,500.00. Hard to find something to love about a bike that has lost half it's value in a year. Believe me every new bike in this class has not done the same. Of course they are just about getting low enough in value that I can afford one. |
