Please don't post any "not far enough" pics. I can do without seeing Thongman ever again. |

Anybody have any recommendations for good riding boots. I've been wearing heavy work boots but have been looking to get a pair of riding boots . |

The Sidi Canyon Gore-Tex Boots is what I have. If you have a wide foot, get a half size larger than you normally wear. I found out the hard way they run narrow. |

I have daytona urban boots: http://www.daytona.de/english/boots_e/gore/2_urban gtx.html Needed to get waterproof universal riding boots that can be used both on harley and buell. Nothing but good to say about them. |

I have a pair of Icon boots that I wear every day to work too. I'm not sure of the model, but they were $89.99 at Cycle Gear. I've had them for over a year and they are comfortable also. Useless in the rain though.... |

Normally full gear, Shoei X-Eleven helmet, Dainse Zen Leather jacket with back protector, textile pants, a-star gloves and boots. Recently started riding in jeans a bit, need to get some mesh riding pants. Also started wearing my mesh joe rocket (has leather arms) jacket, but usually around town or on some twisty riding. Try to atleast get the dainese on when riding harder and the textile but the pants get super hot in this summer weather, textile pants and the dainese jacket would work fine as long as I am moving. |

Here's another vote for the Sidi Canyon Gore-Tex boot. I found New Enough to be a good online retailer. |

I have Tour Master Transition 2 gear. There is more expensive gear out there that might be better, but I am happy with the ability to ride in a wide range of temperatures comfortably. I live in MN and got the gear last fall. I have worn the gear in weather from 28f to mid 70f rain and shine so far and have been able to put in/remove liners and open/close vents to be very comfortable and have been dry in the rain. 2000+ miles with no problems. Complaints-only regarding the Velcro… there is too much of it, and there is no neck snap when closed (just Velcro). On a scale from 1-10- a solid 8!!! |

Picked up a new bike yesterday. Had a bunch of running around to do first so I threw my gear in the car. When we finally got to the dealer finished all the delivery "crap" (ok I admit I do pay attention to what he says lol) I put my jacket on, my helmet, my cool shades (safety lens), my gloves (with fingers). Throw my leg over my new ride. Instead of hearing my wife say something like "gee honey you look good on that bike" I get "Where the hell are your boots!? I can't believe your wearing running shoes!" Did I mention she used the "mad mommy" voice? I now know how our kids felt when she would do that......I'll wear my boots from now on |
