Well I got suited up this afternoon to go for a ride, got about 8 blocks from home and my belt broke I didn't have time to make it to the shop to get another one, and now I'll have to wait til Monday, but is the stock belt Harley would sell me my best option? Just curious if there are any better options than just going to my local Harley shop and asking for a new belt. |

As far as I know it is the only belt.... It would be nice..... I have really lucked out, we only had one belt break, 2 miles from home. The other one we had a few teeth missing and replaced it before it went. The other belt broke but I don't remember when but last I remember there were two broken ones hanging from the rafters and the missing tooth one in a box. |

How many miles on your belt? There are no aftermarket suppliers for belts, it would still be the same Buell belt if you find a supplier (which is possible), but you can order online from many places. A spare belt almost fits under the seat. I have gotten one to fit, but I wouldnt do that with a new belt. Its tight. |

only 6,800 miles on it. Though it's off an 01' so I'm assuming this had more to do with the belt being 8 years old |
