Thought I'd share my latest mod with everyone. I have a mostly stock white Stt and while it's cool, it's A LOT of white. Since it it's supposed to be a supermoto theme & has those big old numberplates, I thought I'd add some numbers. The numbers are gray with a maroon outline. The swoop around the top of the plates is the same shade of maroon. The numbers I ordered from a shop on the web and for the swoop I made a template and cut it out myself from bulk sheet. Thoughts? The numbers do a good job of breaking up the white, but I probably would've just pulled the side plates off. Where are you at in York? We should get together and ride sometime. |

Different. I like. When I looked at the STT I thought if I ever get this one I'll remove the plates but your idea is good. I turned out buying a Scg instead anyway. |

Being an old dirt-biker, I actually considered retro fitting the number plates to a lightning. I thought it might be a kick. What do you guys think? |

I think the front cowl and maybe tank could use some of that maroon to tie it together, cowl looks plain, otherwise I like it! Not a fan personally of the plates but this does look nice! |

I like it. Will the rear plated fit a XB12R? |

Thanks Guys. I'm digging it, too. People look at me funny when riding down the road now. Why 42? Dunno. Needed a number that would fill up the area. Thought about 74 (cubic inches), thought about 93 (graduation year). Ended up w/ 42; wife's birthday. And for all you smart A's out there that would be April 2nd, not 1942. I also agree that the flyscreen needs a little. We'll see. Those fork protectors are down there as well, but there's a fine line between a little graphic enhancement and all trashed up. Pos90, I'm west of town, out by York/New Salem. Hemicbx |

I like it. Will the rear plated fit a XB12R? No unless you switch to a S/Ss tail, and I'm not 100% sure they would fit the S tail. |

My buddy just bought a TT and had some custome graphics made for it when he gets them on I will post some pics. The first thing he did was put the 9 gearing in it, a d&d, race ECM and a K&N. Talk about a wheelie machine 1st and 2nd are down right dangerous and 3rd is not much better. Jimmy |

Really Froggy? I though you needed a Ss/stt tail to get it to fit. |

WolfRidgeGlider has them on his Bolt. They just replace the passenger peg brackets, and all non Uly XB models use the same brackets. |

Agreed, they fit the passenger peg brackets & they're all the same, but there are also some supports that hold the rear of the plates. You can see it in my second pic. These mount to the rear turn signals. Don't know for sure, but seems they would need the Ss tail to be positioned correctly. |

I saw you riding this weekend. I was in my car, but saw you on rt741 in Lancaster turning left at Cherry Hill Orchards. The bike definitely looks cool in person. I currently live in York but am remodeling a house that I own in Lancaster and will be moving there when it's complete. Were you heading over to the Lancaster HD/Buell Open House? |
