I don't condone, nor am I suggesting traveling at 100 mph on a regular basis but sometimes it's just too fun for a short stint. What RMP is typical at that speed? I ran up the ramp to the interstate rather quickly this morning and look down and the speedo says 100 at 48-4900 RPM. Is this the typical range you see there? If so I'm not quite sure how you get 30 more MPH until you hit the redline. I've seen comments that the tube frames will do 130-135 range, much too fast for my cajones. I don't have stock cams but i can't tell you what's in the bike, I bought it that way. Just a curiosity thread. |

RPM sounds about the same a mine at that speed. The difference between 4th and 5th is only about 550 rpm. 6,000 + in 3rd is pushing 100 mph(indicated) and 4th is well over it. |

Australian and Euro tubers run higher gearing. About 20% higher. My fourth is about where the US fifth gear is. 100 mph is about 4000rpm with mine. Top speed is about 130 mph at just over 5000 rpm. |

I ain't buying that oops, I accidentally hit a hundred going up the ramp. No traffic on the freeway? 5K is about right on 100 |

Well, my M2's speedo is a bit off now, but in 6th, an indicated 100 mph is about 4000 rpm. |
