I just bought a '97 S3. I need to lower it to match my short legs, any good tips? anyone got the parts? I would also like to change the intake & exhaust, anyone got any parts that will do the job? Thanks! Jay |

The easy way, M2 Low Rear Shock, pull the tubes up in the triple trees. Or, new front springs. |

Or you can modify the front bracket:
This mod will lower the rear of your bike, you will still need to slide the forks up a bit in the tubes to maintain proper balance and handling abilities... |

The hole relocation is like a 3 to 1 ratio. If you move the mounting hole 1" the rear end will drop 3". This is too much. Looking at the bracket above, by welding new mounts to the sides of the bracket, and relocating the hole 1/2", I was able to lower the rear of the bike about 1 1/2". I also had to lower the front forks in the triple trees 1 1/2" to maintain the handling geometry. |
