Looks like they gave into the whining, I have seen a few blogs today report that Buell is going to have a min. weight of 380 instead of the 365 from before. Other bikes are having the min weight reduced. http://www.cyclenews.com/articles/road-racing/2009 /04/13/buells-to-gain-weight |

So the other twins had a 385 limit, while the Buell had a 365 limit? That's interesting. Now all the twins have the same weight limit. I hope Eslick can keep kicking ass, and then see what the Yamakawasuzondas say about that. |

I don't think any of the Buells have come in under 395lbs anyway. It's a non-issue, but it will get the bitchin' to quit for a little while. |

I have seen it where a race car can be faster with a little extra weight. Now with all the torque the Buell has, wouldn't that possibility be funny? |

i called that. Same thing happened to the Buells in NHRA. When Eslick wins again, there will be more rule changes. It ALWAYS starts with weight. |

mag wheels I have been working with Indy cars for the past few weeks. The lead tech told me he likes having to add weight to the car because he can add it where he wants to make the car even faster. |

thats alot of weight gain It would be if ANY of the Buells were anywhere close to 365lbs running weight. NONE of them have come anywhere close in post race testing. I think the lightest was like 397 lbs. Because spec racers only understand spec sheets, they adjusted the spec sheets to match expectation rather than reality. |
